So, is the DEN game an anomaly when it comes to NY running success?

I guess what I'm saying is... seems the Rams will shut down their running game and then it's on Manning and Engram (rookie, who's doing OK), and Sheppard and some JAG off another team (like Britt) who won't know their system, I'll assume.

You know me... pretty conservative... but I don't see how NY gives the Rams too much of a fight. The spirit may be willing but they are depleted of talent on offense.

So it comes down to Spagnuolo shutting down the Rams offense.
Per ESPN:
They're giving up 379 yards per game (27th), 259 passing yards per game (27th), 121 rushing yards per game (23rd) and 22.3 points per game (T 17th).

Thinking the Rams ought to be able to make some real noise against that unit.

The real wild card (as you allude to)? The weather.
I just dont think the Giants are as bad as they appear.
So I wouldnt take them lightly.
Of course I was also nervous about the Arizona game, the Dallas game etc....

From what I've seen of them, I think they are pretty bad... under normal circumstances, no... but those injuries!

I agree... don't take any NFL team lightly (pretty sure McVay won't let them). These are the best athletes in the world when it comes to football.

I was nervous about both those games as well. I'm not sure how long long and how many victories it's gonna take before I feel totally comfortable, but the trouncing of AZ moved me a good bit closer (to comfortable).

For some reason, I feel pretty good about NY.

This is the kind of team that will win enough games to get into the playoffs. Of that I have no doubt. 10+ is a virtual lock, assuming health.

The defining factor for me will be the three games vs the Shehawks, Vikes, and Eagles. Those are playoff level opponents, so how the Rams do in those games is crucial. 2-1 over those three games means they're tuned and ready.

Keep in mind, the remaining schedule has the 4 NFC division leaders remaining. That's assuming Seattle wins this week of course. Point is it won't be easy but we have our destiny in our own hands.

Sorry BriansRams, I disagree and your wrong! Snap out of it! This isn't the Fisher Rams!!
1) The Hag's are not ahead of the Rams! The Rams are ! game up on them, and winning the div.!
2) Yes we can go into the Hag's Home and Beat them! We did it before with a much lesser Team!
3) The hag's "D" may only be giving up 16 point a game, but there "O" isn't averaging scoring anywhere near the points we are!
4) 1 catch and there win over us would be a Loss!

" Shape Up, and get your head straight over the Bye week!!"

Besides, the Rams could have the Division Title Locked-up by the time we go to Seattle!!:D

:)
DaveFan51 ... when we played Seattle this year ... who won the game?
No "we shouldas" or "if we had caught that..."

Just tell me ... who won?
And you think it will be easier for us in the rain? in Seattle?

I'm all for having hope and being a devout fan, but I'm also realistic. I hate that the Seahawks keep winning the division. Put your emotions aside and look. The Seahawks just keep winning. It's terrible.

ps- And we're only 1 game up on them right now because they had their bye first. Most likely after Sunday they will lead the division because of the tie breaker head to head with us. Damn. I'm just nervous, and so I'm expressing it. I can see the stupid SeaWilsons messing things up for us.

Wow, that was borderline defeatist

The Rams turned the ball over 5 times, lost a rousing win due to a player letting the team down, hey I love Kupp but it was there

And you post this...stuff

Bravo Dave!!

They won't lead the division. They'll be tied with us. That's literally the best they can do this week. And we have one more game against them. That means that we control our fate. And yes, it will be easier for us in Seattle because we are breaking in new offensive and defensive schemes. That means we should get better as the year goes. On top of that, the odds of us turning the ball over five times, having a TD turned into a touchback, having GZ miss a FG inside 40 yards, and having Cooper Kupp drop a TD all in one game are exceedingly low.

It will be much easier for us in Seattle. But I'm just being realistic.

The Giants defense is still something that should not be underestimated. They're tough. Their offense is a gigantic mess. But that doesn't guarantee anything. As McVay says, "One game at a time."

I fear this game a bit, but mostly because I spent $400 to go see it....

I took a look at the Rams remaining schedule prior to the Jags game. At that time I was thinking 9-3 by end of week 12. We got by the Jags, so I'm sticking with that 9-3 projection. Rams should go 4-1 over the next 5 games.

At 9-3, heading into the final leg of the season, Rams only need to go 2-2 to finish 11-5 for the season. That's totally doable against Eagles, Seahawks, Titians & Whiners.

I predict:
Rams 11-5, Division Winner with a 1st Round bye being seeded #2 in NFC

Seahawks 10-6 Wild Card.

So then, let's visit this very thread (and your very comments above, and mine below) after our next Seahawks game.
OK with you? Will you stand by your public comments above as I will?

We're both big time, long time Ram fans, but obviously our views about the Seadicks differ. I personally hate talking all cocky before a game and then watching my team lose. To me that sucks more than being realistic with myself about what I've seen, and then seeing me team lose. It'll be interesting to look back and see who called this correctly.

And let's hope to hell that I'm wrong, and we win against them in Seattle, and win our division. It would be awesome. I'll gladly eat crow as a result of my Rams winning the division, as well as beating the Seahawks in Seattle.

I am not a defeatist. My intentions are not to be negative. I simply believe the Seadicks that I hate will cause us much grief, and that their luckiness will shine once again when we play them.

ps- And don't ignore the part where I said "let's hope to hell that I'm wrong." :sneaky:
