WOW!

I like Ray Ray but this is a statement by Jeff Fisher. Round of applause.

Me too! It sends a clear message that we aren't going to tolerate selfish play via boneheaded penalties.

How's that for a Head Coach making a statement that he has things under control!

I actually didn't see Ray Ray's bonehead penalty yesterday. Is there any film on it?

I'm fully behind Fisher trying to make a statement with this. He's been VERY patient thus far with this teams' rash of penalties. To be honest, i'd like to see a statement made to the offense too if the false starts continue...and i LIKE Kendricks. Not saying that you cut Kendricks(thats silly), but its time to get out of preseason mode fellas. Its October!
Don't cut Kendricks yeah, but I mean.. Alex Bayer is right there, feel free to remind him that there's plenty of people who don't false start who want his spot.

Based on things I saw and heard during training camp, Armstrong was not well received by many of his teammates. And on more than one occasion in training camp, Fisher himself made a point of having a one on one conversation with him. It was especially noticeable due to the injuries that allowed him to take quite a few 1st unit reps in camp. It's one thing to play with an edge in games, and trash talk on the few opportunities you get on the field. It's another thing to go nose to nose multiple times in PRACTICE with your own teammates. And Fisher called him on it more than once.

It was REALLY stupid. Returner was down, whistle had blown and he gave a guy a pretty hard two hand shove with a ref right there. Dumbass move.

It's childish, and like @OnceARam said selfish. Just because you're frustrated doesn't mean you can lash out at someone drawing a penalty. He is basically saying I don't give a shit about the repercussions to the team at that point. All I care about is myself.

He was a classic case of the "look at me" type of player. Even his partner in crime from last year (Darren Bates) has toned his act down some this year, although he still has a way to go. This for me, is addition by subtraction.

And as someone else mentioned, if for nothing but the Special Team contribution, I welcome seeing Alexander active here on out.

The thing that bothers me is that is the easiest type of penalty NOT to commit so when it happens it rubs me the wrong way.

This ^ would explain a lot. I don't see Fisher cutting someone just because of one games play! Nor do I see him doing it JUST to make a statement! IMHO, the idea cutting Armstrong had to come from a larger problem! Fisher's too much of a pro to be petty!

You were right @-X- Snead, Barksdale, and Demoffs read my posts and informed Fisher that he needs to take my advice!

Maybe I should post myphone number or EMail so Fish has a direct line to me, you know, for advice on coaching decisions....I could probably help him with his personal life too.

One games play? So all of the other personal fouls and blocks in the back don't weigh into this decision? Really?

I was supporting your point about this not being just about what happened yesterday. I think it was the final straw.

I guess this means that Denicos Allen gets promoted from the practice squad. Not a bad thing; he performed very well for MSU.

Well, yes. It was a cut of opportunity I would think. He was already rubbing Fisher wrong, had a history of penalties AND Fisher need to send a message. Mission accomplished.

You can just let me know what you want, I call him all the time. I'm the one that got him to stick with Davis when he said he was going to go back to Hill.
