Between barron and Sullivan the team can save around 13m.

Go get cj mosley !

Barron was a decent player at times but he does not fit this defense and looked horrible at times .

Easiest to predict move of the off-season.

LOL they didn't wait at all. I thought they might wait and do a lower deal but, I might have been the only one.

Rams getting money/cap to reload the defense. Should be interesting and hopefully fun to watch what Snead and Company do.

Why is Schefty surprised by the Barron release?

They couldn’t even trade him for a 7th, for crying out loud!

I’ll say this. I continue to admire and respect how the Rams are willing to prune their overpaid and/or underperforming vets.

Sends a great message to the other players on the roster.

One of the last of Fisher's guys left on D. Good luck Mark. Hope you can stay healthy and be productive somewhere in the AFC.

JETS-JETS-JETS ~Gregg Williams

I would think that's a very good possibility. He's a nice fit as a true WILL in a 4-3. Especially since his best season was when GW told him to see ball get ball.

Improved in the last quarter like most of the defense but still a liability in this defense. Just doesn't fit. I'm looking forward to seeing what Les has in store for us this offseason. Guy makes it entertaining at least.

It’s a thrill ride nowadays to follow the Rams during football season.

And now the offseason is fun too. So amazing to watch the FO make decisions and think either “yeah that makes sense” or “hot damn!”

Who are these guys?!?! For a decade they could do no right, and now they can do no wrong...

Wishing Mr Barron the best he was a steal for a 4th and 6th (I think that was the deal) and made an immediate impact. He made some huge plays, Seattle etc... He is a bit of a tweener and not a great fit in our 3 - 4. If he is healthy and gets back in the right system he will be a great addition for the team that grabs him. GL MB

We were trying to run a 3-4 with 4-3 personnel, and Barron was a large Safety trying to play 4-3 LB, and was even more out of place in the 3-4. You need some big beef in there to stop the run in the 3-4.

It was pretty obvious this was going to happen.
Too expensive and not enough production.

Good luck to Barron. I'll always remember his big hits and his opposing-quarterback-kill mentality.
