Some said the same thing about Kromer and our O line entering this season. I don't trust unproven, inexperienced late round picks.
Amen. I was scolded over and over about having reservations about Noteboom and Allen.
I would still want to sign a cheap vet FA this offseason for the OL.

Do not :cry:over the loss of ILB Dakota Allen .....why ? Because ILB Travin Howard was a steal as a 7th round selection last season. Howard & Allen both play the same post. Allen would never beat out Howard. Howard defensive snaps continue to increase.

Still, the Rams should retaliate and raid another teams practice squad for our 28'th potential Center of 2020. ;)

So young guys can't be trusted to get good. But getting an old guy who we know isn't good enough to start that's the key? Sorry very few people will complain about cheap veteran depth. But the problem that happened was saying somebody not good enough to start nor good enough to get paid is needed just doesn't hold water. If they aren't good why are they on the team? And if they are good are they signing cheap to be a backup? Eventually every position goes through a youth push on a roster.

Jaguars sign LB Dakota Allen off Rams' practice squad

It’s been a wild ride for Rams linebacker Dakota Allen in his first NFL season, and there are still three weeks remaining. The rookie is on the move once again after the Jacksonville Jaguars signed him off the Rams’ practice squad Tuesday.

With the Jaguars poaching him, Allen will revert to their 53-man roster for at least three weeks. If Jacksonville cuts him, he still has to be paid the amount he would’ve made if he were on the team.

Allen was drafted by the Rams in the seventh round but failed to make the regular-season roster. He spent a few weeks on the practice squad, but in late September, the Raiders signed him to their active roster.
He was waived after about a month and the Rams brought him back on the practice squad, where he had been until Tuesday. Now, he’ll move across the country, but he’ll do so with the chance to play on Sundays.
