I know it's just one game but I'm just happy for this kid- its nice to see all the hard work he put into the off season start paying some dividends!

I know it's just one game but I'm just happy for this kid- its nice to see all the hard work he put into the off season start paying some dividends!

He did great..I was SO hoping for that on extra pass/TD so that he would beat out Wentz which seems to be the guy that Goff haters like to point towards in displaying Goff's "failures" I want Goff to show that he's better, and I believe that he can....

Wentz doesn't matter tbh. Goff ending up as a great one is what matters, and as that starts to become clear the conversation won't be about comparing them so much as it is recognition of both picks being good.

Media's been all over Mariota's nuts, for example, through last year. He wasn't drafted same year, but he's another good young QB who should have a strong career. And it's not going to matter IF Jared plays this way all season and gets better week to week. Given that, there's just going to be a lot of people looking ignorant for passing judgment on him in a poor rookie season/situation.

I recognize it's one game, against an obviously weak opponent, but it looks like we have a credible receiving corp for the first time in over a decade. It's not just Kupp- Watkins and Woods both looked silky smooth, and I think Everett is going to be a dangerous weapon. I'll make a bold, completely un-supported prediction: Everett ends up being the Rams greatest tight end ever when his career is done (FN. Given the Ram's less-than-awesome all-time roster of tight ends, that would not be as impressive an accomplishment as it sounds).

The thing is, is that Goff didn't play not to lose and protect the ball. He chucked it down field.
I'm not sure if there is a QB this weekend that had more 20 yard plays than Goff.

Yeah no doubt. If I had any criticism on Jared it's his accuracy on the move. He needs to work on that and I'm sure he will.

The good thing is he's getting through his reads very quickly. That will carry him a long way under McVay.
