On NFL Insiders, Polian said best fit for Bridgewater is #Rams at 13. "Indoor building helps greatly." Mort said AFC South or a dome team.

Sure, if the Rams only had Shaun Hill and Austin Davis on the roster. I'll be VERY disappointed if the Rams use any first round resources on a QB this year.

First Manziel, now possibly Bridgewater, smh... Can't wait till we get to all see "Bradford is our QB" was NOT a smokescreen!

The last thing Fisher wants is a QB controversy this year. They are all in on making the playoffs, drafting Bridgewater just complicates things.

How long is Teddy gonna stay on the bench? As soon as the team loses a couple of game, regardless of Bradford's performance, the fans will be screaming for Bridgewater. And then what? Is Fisher gonna play him? If so, that means he gave up on Bradford. And that means they might as well dump Bradford right now.

Drafting Bridgwater at #13 is shortsighted. And it ain't happening regardless of what Polian says.

If Donald isn't there, I'm honestly thinking the Rams should try to trade down and pick up more picks no matter what.

I'm a Bradford fan too, but that's way too simplistic a view to take on this. You're basically saying that Fisher is a chicken shit because he'll have no choice but to play Bridgewater when whiny-ass fans start to voice their concerns during the season. If (and I agree) Fisher is all-in on making the playoffs, then it can all fall apart if Bradford gets injured again. That's EXACTLY what happened last year. We could have won at least 2 (if not 3) additional games last year if anyone other than the feisty, yet ineffectual Clemens is in at QB. Shaun Hill? PUHLEASE. The hell has he done to this point in his career? Granted Bridgewater hasn't done anything either, but he would bring a dynamic to this offense that Shaun Hill absolutely cannot. And what if Bradford does get hurt and Shaun Hill is every bit as "good" as Clemens? 7-9? Mayyyybe 8-8? That's great. Now Bradford is on his third injury and the Rams are middle-of-the pack in the 2015 draft. Any chance of grabbing a high pick at QB then without trading up? Nope. So if you have the luxury of additional resources now, why not use them?

Sorry guys, but I'm not going to be short-sighted when it comes to these types of scenarios. No matter how unlikely they may be. No matter what people think of Bridgewater, he's a good QB with lots of talent (IMO). If we don't use him this year, then great. We'll make the playoffs, yeah? And then next year there's LEGITIMATE competition for the QB position in Bradford's final year. If he doesn't beat out Bradford, then we know Bradford is the man. If he does, then we know he's not. We're also covered if Bradford hits the open market in 2016. Not a fan of sitting a good QB for two years and letting him EASE into the position? Well, that's unfortunate.

But I think Hill is likely a better quarterback than Bridgewater - so Bridgewater's coming in as a third stringer?? That's a waste of a pick at 13. If we need a QB competition next year or we decide Bradford's not the man - then cross that bridge when we get to it.

What if it's Manziel? :sneaky:

Teddy is fine. I have no issue with taking him, except one. If they take him they will move Bradford out before the draft is over.

Now if you are ok with that, then that's fine too. I'm not, and I'd be willing to bet all my ROD bucks that drafting Teddy at #13 means Sam is gone tout de suite.

The only way I draft a QB early is if I'm trading Sam immediately. Take Manziel and trade Bradford to Cleveland, for example.

I don't want a circus at the most important position on the team.

That said; Sam is the man and he's my QB. It's time for the rest of the fan base to see it.

Why would he be out? It's just insurance for the short-term and the long-term.

You'll have to explain how drafting a QB means (automatically) that Bradford is out before the season starts. He's under contract.

I'm with you. I think people are getting too caught up in the media crap being tossed around due to a bad combine and pro day. Look at his numbers, his tape, and even his metrics(pro days and combine workouts are dumb, IMO). He is a very good QB prospect and if he somehow fell that far, I'm not opposed to taking him because next year the Rams most likely won't be in a position to take one. Bridgewater will most likely be better than any QB they could get in next year's draft unless people are okay with doing what Washington did. Personally, I'm not and this media bashing of Bridgewater has gone overboard. And who knows, maybe he did bomb his pro day and combine on purpose? And even if Bradford proves he's the QB of the future for this team, Bridgewater will still have value to some other team. We could probably recoup that pick.

Damn it X. You have me questioning my Bradford loyalty. I mean the guy hasn't had a great situation the entire time he's been here.

But on the other hand you really do have to wonder what a young guy like Maziel or Bridgewater could do.

OY VAY.
