The loss was not the beat down, changing of the guard some will make it out to be. That long pass to Jackson for the int, was a touchdown if not under thrown.
It was Staffords first sub par game as a Ram, he was out of sinc with Kupp and the rest of them. Passes looked weird, funny. Multiple missed wide open shots.
The turnover by Michel, the fumbled return = points for Arizona.
14 point swing easy if a couple things go differently. Then we have a ballgame.
I mean, for the CHUNKS of yards Henderson was tearing off for Stafford not to be able to use it to help the passing game, something was wrong.
It did not really look like Arizona could stop us early in the game. I was waiting to blow them out.
Their midget QB reminded me of Seattle,s midget QB early in his career before we figured him out.
The division is still ours to have. McVay will have them ready.
Just a weird game.

As angry as I am I do think it was an anomaly. Mistakes yes crappy play call someone especially defense underwhelming yes. Two things for me:

1. I take a little solace that I really feel we beat ourselves. It's not like the bears or pats etc provided a blueprint on how to stop the Rams. We basically beat ourselves.

2. I've said this numerous times today but I love the chemistry with Kupp and Staff ute got to include woods more Mcvey is supposed to be great at scheming his guys open woods I see pens plenty spread it out.

Final note as AD gets older yes he is a force but currently rt now I firmly believe he need some some help on the line to rush someone like Hicks. Our linebackers would feast but more importantly go ahead double team AD but you can't block them all. Some pass rush assistance on the line would be great would work wonders.

And think, we left 10 points off the board, that goal line mess, and the missed FG, and this game was a LOT closer than the final score. And if Michel didn't fumble, this is a different game entirely.

That being said, our defense couldn't stop them AT ALL. Bad scheme, bad match up.

I also think that 3rd down drop by Kupp in our 1st drive was huge. Kind of set the pediment for the game,

I like the positivity but the whole of the offense really played out of sync today. The D was normal and expected with how they been playing under Morris' scheme.

I expect to see a lot of changes come Thursday. I don't want to say it but part of me thinks the coaching staff could've over looked this game looking onto Sheattle a bit.

Bucs win wasn't as good as it looked, and Cards loss wasn't as bad as it looked.

Bucs had a LOT of key missing parts-- JPP, Antonio Brown, a hampered Gronk, and one or two starting DB's. For much of the game the Bucs had to play scrubs in the secondary, and we exploited that.

As for the Cards, I gotta hope that a better game plan to contain Murray would make a difference. Cuz we got creamed by their O.

You know this week might be the first time in my life I might cheer for the whiners since they play Arizona.

But then again we play Arizona again later, the Cards are coming into the hard part of their schedule and a whiners loss would amost bury them.

LOL

Not much we can do about it now, need to improve significantly for Thursday.

I think the whole organisation got carried away with beating the World Champions from last season.

And what happens the following week… a massive let down.

I’m not taking anything away from the Cardinals though. They were outstanding and deserved their win.

It was, but it was the sheer fact that Stafford underthrew it with little pressure on him that worries me.

He threw some horrible balls last night, balls I didn't think were in his repertoire, to be honest.

And that interception that came back was on him. Sure it was a penalty...just, but I think he'd have thrown it anyway.

I'm by no means panicking, but my concern isn't about the loss per se, but how bad Stafford looked at times.

If Goff had played like that we'd be all over him.

I'd love a story to come out that he's suffering from a mild case of the bubonic plague, or that he ran over his pet lizard backing off his driveway to come to the game that explains everything.

We will not be serious contenders if the defense gives up chunk plays like they have the first 4 games of this season.

Defense does need work - however, solid points in this thread.

Arizona may well be the best offense in the NFL. We've won these games in the past by scoring more.

The Kupp drop, Stafford INT, missed FG, other mis throws, Higbee dropped TD, false start - all unforced errors. Cardinals did literally nothing to get those.

I think we win if we just eliminate the Kupp drop and Stafford being off. Even with the defense playing poorly.

Beat Seattle, and all is well.

Lose to Seattle, and I'll just focus on the fact that Tampa was 7-4 last year and ended up winning it all.

Oh, and, not that last year means too much, but with the Bears, Colts and Bucs winning last night it's worth pointing out - our first five games, which ends Thursday, came against five teams who went at least 8-8 last year and includes 4 playoff teams.

Giants, Lions, Texans, Titans and Niners (our next five) only contain one winning team from last year, and they're defense is a disaster.

IDK looked bad to me, but by the 3rd quarter I had a few single malts to wash away the bad taste in my mouth.

For all of those who posted about Murray not being extraordinary, time to realize you were wrong. Last year the Rams played the Cardinals late and Murray was dinged up, so he did not have the ability to extend plays, today, they could not catch him.

Don’t overreact but learn from it. Some adjustments and changes are definately needed on defense. It was just one of those games over Once Michel fumbled and Cards punched it in.

I think Stafford and Kupp need to spend more time perfecting their craft and less time studying their press clippings.

There was too much sugary commentary surrounding the Rams last week. Waaay too much.

Even ROD was alittle too sweet for me. I had a hard time reading.

You still gotta earn it. Nothing is given. Im not watching media this week at all.

Fucking pissed that it was so quick and easy to fall off the perch like that.
