I would rather they take Jameis Winston. I also want to mention because I know there are a lot of Amari Cooper fans on this board(I am a huge one too)...Kevin White has passed him as my #1 ranked WR in this draft class. Right now, my top 3 are:
1. Kevin White WR West Virginia
2. Amari Cooper WR Alabama
3. Dorial Green-Beckham WR Missouri

Think all three have the ability to be top 10 WRs in the NFL. If DGB weren't a mess off the field and could play this year, he'd probably be the best WR since Calvin. If he falls to the 2nd, I'd pair him and Jameis up. Would be amazing. :D

I still want to see what we have in Davis first, he's got 11 games to show what he can be, if we get an OL together at any point this year it would be nice. My dream O next year:

QB Davis (in the dream scenario he proves he belongs as a NFL starter)
LT Robinson (that's why he was drafted right?)
LG Anyone we can find FA/draft pick/someone already on the roster
C Barnes or Jones, may the best man win, anyone but Wells
RG Saffold
RT Barksdale, put some of the money we save on cutting Long towards re-signing him
RB stick with the by committee approach
FB Harkey
TE Kendricks
TE haven't done any scouting yet, but not Cook.
WR Quick
WR Cooper (first round pick)
SR Bailey
Gadget man Tavon

And an offensive minded HC.

It's not going to happen, but neither is the dream I had last night :(

It'd definitely be interesting. I just want to know what really happened with that alleged rape victim. If he really did rape a girl, I can't take him. I haven't really heard much about the story since it was first brought up, though. Also, we are still in dire need of OL help. Bad O-lines don't pair well with rookie QB's.

I still don't know. FWIW, I read through the article in the New York Times based on the accuser's story. This seems to be more based on Jameis's side of the story:
http://secexposed.wordpress.com/201...su-as-media-takes-first-swipe-at-sec-threats/
The facts? A college girl made a rape accusation identifying a man that did not even come close to resembling Mr. Winston. That girl changed her story several weeks later to identify Mr. Winston as her “attacker.” The girl evaded police investigators who were trying to get the evidence needed to arrest the accused. The girl was drug tested and was clean. She was found to be way below the limit of alcohol intoxication. The rape kit revealed no signs of struggle or forced intercourse. And the girl had multiple men’s semen found in her panties, not just Mr. Winston’s. And after failing to follow up with authorities for several months, the girl has a relative/attorney feed the juicy story to TMZ and a local newspaper reporter so that a media circus can erupt. These facts, and the reports that this girl attended FSU football games and cheered on Winston via Social Media some 9 months after her alleged rape, make this an even more egregious railroad attempt than the one that involved the Duke Lacrosse players some years back.

I realize the guy who writes it comes off as a little out there and conspiracy oriented but he also seems to be tapped in with the information coming out of Tallahassee. However, the media has misrepresented other information in regards to Winston so it wouldn't surprise me if the guy is right about them misrepresenting the situation:
http://secexposed.wordpress.com/201...meis-winston-and-the-florida-state-seminoles/
To illustrate how powerful the media is in a case like this, let’s look at how the story broke last week. FSU students tweeted out what happened. Immediately the sharks in the media water pounced, contacting these students to get all the dirt. Then the media outlets released their stories. And the chest thumping outrage at ESPN and on radio shows around the nation soon after began! However as these poor eyewitness students were being thrown under the bus by the media, and outcast by some of their football crazy peers at FSU for their tweets, a funny thing was happening. The media was MAKING UP THEIR OWN DETAILS of the story and NOT telling the whole truth! And as you can see below, an original student eyewitness became just another a victim of the anti-Winston media propaganda machine…
kiefosceolatwitter.jpg

Interesting that a tiny blog site like ours knows more than over 90% of the media about this story, particularly the incorrect accusation that Winston “jumped up on a table” to yell his obscenities to the world as opposed to just happening to stumble upon a busy corridor while jesting with his pals.

So as I've maintained all along, I can't come to any sort of judgement on the "rape". We don't have the necessary facts and no charges have ever been filed. The police screwed the investigation up and neither side can ever prove their case.

However, I will point out that the Treon Harris situation at Florida has only made me more suspicious.

I'm going to judge what I can see on the field. That's the best I can do. It seems to me that the media has their narrative now and is going to stick to it.

Mariota is a shiny tool box. You have no idea what's inside the tool box.

He's got a great arm and is very fast, but in that offense he's never asked to do basically everything you have to do ever snap at the NFL level. He's pretty smart I've heard and I'm not knocking him but it's a massive projection/hope that he could run a pro team. Not saying he can't, just that nobody knows.

I'd puke if we get Mariota in the Top 5 let alone Top 20. His success attributes to a QB-friendly system that doesn't ask much in terms of progressions in the pocket. I'd much rather get Winston there despite his character issues.

I'd take him just for the hell of it. I doubt we're in that position to draft him, though. I can't imagine Oakland, Buffalo, or TB passing on him.
Have you checked? Buffalo is pretty good. Why do you assume they will pick before the Rams?

In my opinion we do not need wide receiver in the first round. QB first then linebacker.

I'm a casual follower of college football at the player level, but I saw White make that one-handed catch on the fade against Baylor today and thought that he's someone to keep an eye on. Later, when they had the graphic showing that he's had 7 straight 100 yard games receiving, I officially became intrigued.

Lets draft a QB ( Marriota/Winston(if cleared)/Cook), lets draft a OG (So. Carolina or FSU have some good ones), draft a LB ( love that kid from Miss. State #50)...and find a serious TE that can block...
You are so rough on Cook, what did he do now? Cook plays hard...
Still think DGB is the best wr in college, and he's sitting out....

Guy has been on a tear all year. I think he's very arguably the best WR in college football. Has the speed to separate vertically, has unbelievable hands, is quick and sudden, and he's 6'3" 210. Has it all as a prospect. He's been giving NFL CB prospects absolute hell this year.

White has been getting compared to Larry Fitzgerald. Frankly, I'm not sure who the kid compares to. Regardless, this kid is an incredible WR.

Thanks for the info. Obviously, a lot to play out at both levels including what will happen with Britt after the season, but definitely an exciting player.

I second the motion.
I hope Davis gets better each game and Bradford makes a good comeback so the Rams do not have to draft a QB and we can concentrate on other position the Rams need.
