He was 3-2 as a starter last year and improved. He's not a scrub, he's more of a game manager and the team proved they can win games when the QB isn't fucking things up. I won't say he was ready at the start of the season, maybe he wasn't, but in hindsight the Rams may have made the playoffs had he been the starter from the beginning of the season.

Source is rotoworld: Rams GM Les Snead said Case Keenum will be "our starter at the beginning of the season."

As ridiculous as the commitment to Keenum has been, this is not surprising news. The Rams failed to add a quarterback in free agency despite plenty of money and opportunity, and they are not in a position to grab either of the top quarterbacks in the draft. With 7-9 as the annual goal, the Rams are in a good position with Keenum under center.

Beginning of the league year? Preseason? Maybe they really do see something in case.
