very close but all I care about is Goff. I'm hoping to see our QB take the next step and become a top 3 QB in the NFL. If he can be close to the the QB we saw in the Vikings game we are going and winning the Superbowl

Goff, at 24, is also two full years younger than the 26 year old Wentz.

I just hope that when the Rams make Goff the richest QB ever, they sign him for like 7 or 8 years.
Surround Goff with a quality OL and some playmakers, he'll take us where we want to go ...

What we don't know about Wentz is whether he is sturdy enough to last a full season without injury (after the last two years) and whether he can win a playoff game.

Goff has played without injury and is .500 in playoff games and has led his team to a Super Bowl and played in that Super Bowl. I'm not hating Wentz, because I liked the kid coming out of college. He seems like a good guy, but his style of play makes him vulnerable to injury. You can't lower your shoulder against defensive players as a franchise QB, and not expect to get lit up. That would make me nervous if I were an Iggles fan.

Wentz season ending injuries that required surgery and lengthy rehabs - 2

Goff season ending injuries that required surgery and lengthy rehabs - 0

SB titles that the backup copped:

Wentz - 1

Goff - 0

SB MVP awards the backup copped:

Wentz - 1

Goff - 0

So far Wentz is pitching a shutout.

He also had a broken rib in the preseason that forced him to sit far a few weeks, though it was preseason.

And surgery on his wrist his senior year of college.

Soooooooooo..........

Not to play the "what if" game.......oh what the hell I will..........there are still a LOT of "what ifs" but if the injuries sustained by Wentz continue he will have a short career or it will turn him into an average QB. I think that will happen, because what makes him productive is what causes him to get hurt. That's not the case with Goff.

6" 5" and 235 is lanky and a big target when running.

If I was Snead and the Eagles offered a straight up swap of Wentz for Goff today this is what they would hear from me.

I preferred Goff at the time. But, I wouldn't have complained if they had taken Wentz. They were close on the talent level. It was just in different ways.

Knowing what I know now, I'm happy they picked Goff. I think Wentz is a good QB, but his injuries make for an unsettling projection of the length and quality of his career from here on out. He needs to become more of a pocket passer with just a threat of his mobility, instead of the QB/RB style that he likes to play.

Ironically, Mr. Play it Safe Fisher would have probably liked Wentz pulling the ball down to run.

But then Fisher got fired, which changed the equation.

They're both superb young QBs. But I'm confident ours is going to do some special $#!T.

Wentz was better their rookie season - though he didn't have to put up with Fisher.

They've both been good when playing since then - but Goff has played a lot more.

Like others have said, Goff is likely better going forward - there are legitimate questions about whether Wentz is going to stand up to being hit repeatedly. He hasn't shown any such ability so far.

I preferred Wentz at the time, I felt that he was far more likely to have a good career under Fisher than Goff was.

But then Fisher got fired, which changed the equation.

I thought that Wentz would be better under Fisher than Goff, and that Wentz would have earned more wins than Fisher, probably even a wildcard spot in year two as well (but would have lost), more than enough to earn Fisher a short extension, or at minimum play out his contract.

And that's why I wanted Goff.

I knew that Goff would play best under a more offensive minded coach that understands the passing game, and if the Rams drafted him, they would replace Fisher and get someone else. Before Goff even played I posted here that I wanted Sean McVay as our next coach as well, match made in heaven.

That's why I'll never understand anyone who says that they would rather Wentz still (don't get me wrong, I understand people wanting him before), because Goff is the reason we have McVay, and McVay is the reason the Rams will be good when Goff retires... 20 years and an Infinity Gauntlet worth of rings later of course.

I am glad we have Goff instead of Wentz. So far, Goff has been pretty healthy. I am also more of a fan of pocket QBs than running QBs.

I so wish that last part was true but I don't think Sean is going to stick to coaching as long as we all hope. He's even openly said it in interviews
