Yeah, I kinda feel bad for him but he did pocket $40 million on the last contact he agreed to which is pretty good for safeties. I respect him for playing the season despite him wanting an extension though. Lousy luck but he's earned a lot and he'll still earn more in the future.

Well, no chance Seattle gets anything now.

They could have at least gotten a solid draft pick before the season.

Thomas isn’t done and teams will line up for Thomas

Preliminary diagnoses for Joe Staley, Dante Pettis are NOT an ACL injury
https://www.ninersnation.com/2018/9...jury-acl-preliminary-diagnosis-49ers-chargers

Of the many injuries the San Francisco 49ers suffered in Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers, one of them is already beginning bring a bit of relief. Per Matt Maiocco, left tackle Joe Staley’s knee injury is looking like it’s not ACL related. Fooch’s update: It also sounds like Dante Pettis avoided an ACL tear, but again, we’ll find out more on Monday.

Now, that doesn’t mean it’s not an ACL tear. As Maiocco noted, Staley still needs an MRI, which will confirm the injury (which happens Monday). It does at least show a good sign and the 49ers aren’t fearing the worst. When Jimmy Garoppolo went down last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, the 49ers leaned the opposite direction and feared it was an ACL injury, the MRI later confirmed it.

Staley went down in the first half favoring his knee and didn’t return to the game. While he walked off of his own accord, it wasn’t a good sign he wasn’t going back to the field. He wasn’t the only one; the 49ers were decimated further by the injury bug Sunday, losing Dante Pettis, Solomon Thomas, and even Mike McGlinchey for a spell.

Staley is one of the most important people on the 49ers offense and a influential voice in the locker room. Losing him would be a severe blow.

Saints placed WR Ted Ginn (knee) on injured reserve.
http://rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4168/ted-ginn

Ginn injured his knee in Week 4 and apparently did not make enough progress during the Saints' Week 6 bye for the team to stick it out. We would assume the 33-year-old deep threat will be a candidate for return after missing the required eight weeks. In the interim, third-rounder Tre'Quan Smith is going to be the main beneficiary. Smith already rained hellfire on the Redskins in Ginn's Week 5 absence. He's worth a flier in all leagues where he remains unowned.

It was on a touchdown catch.

it should have been a touchdown catch but watson threw it a couple of yards short so fuller had to wait for it and the phins db came in and mauled him. then he pushed him onto the ground hard and his knee hit the ground hard. that's when he felt for his knee. crazy. if watson put it out there a bit more he would have caught the ball a couple of yards away from the db, scored a td and everyone would be happy. but life sometimes doesn't work that way.
