In other words, how many here are or were in the actual football business, as in playing (college level or higher), or coaching, scouting, analytics, etc (high school or higher) as opposed to just fans like me?

Man, all this green chile talk is killing me. When ofriend came out from ABQ last month , she brought us a bunch of Einstein’s green chile bagels and Frontier tortillas. We’re all out, and this talk ain’t helping.

Green chile burgers. :startstruck:

Last year I got literally lay of the harvest 8 big satchels and was having trouble giving it away. I over estimated the demand. Smh

Played ball in junior high, and a lot of pick up games with the players in HS in the park but never went out. Always felt I was too small when I wasn't.

Just played a lot of NFL GameDay on Playstation, and a lot of Madden through my life and been watching since I was young. Which is why I'm still unintelligent band impatient as hell.

But I'm the best damn drunk armchair coaching GM around.

I am out west now as well.

I see it played on occasion. I think it’s more of a club sport.

As a kid, we had pee wee lacrosse just like football.

In my school the only kids who played baseball were the ones who couldn’t make the lacrosse team.

Played high school football - middle linebacker. Was relatively good at our school, but not good enough to go anywhere past that.

My son’s HS has a club lacrosse team. One of his buddies is on it, and says there are a few schools in our area (about 40 miles/65 km east of LA) with club teams. I was actually surprised there were so many. No way would they be able to compete with the East Coasters, but good to see nonetheless. It’s a real fun sport to watch.

Yeah the west coast has ZERO chance against a east coast team.

As I said earlier, we all picked it up as small kids.

We had all the little “tweaks” to our gear as kids.

Cut out the palms of our gloves, box in our sticks, throw a little extra something in the shaft of the stick to give your checks some oomph. Lol

One change I never thought would happen is mesh sticks.

Only the nerds used mesh.

Everyone seemingly knew how to restring their stick.

Who knew learning how to braid would come in handy later in life.

I tried braiding my wife’s hair once. That shit’s hard. In the end, a drunk person with 10 thumbs could have done better, but she loved the effort and bragged about it to her friends, so there’s that.

One thing to update mine, I'm now a 32 almost 33 year old 6' 190lb sex machine minus the sex and machine with farm strength and muscle and a beer belly. I KNOW if I were to go 1 on 1 with Tutu Atwell, I'd still get my ass kicked but I'm bigger than I was!
