Also, your niners analogy doesn't work.
You've got a point.....however not the one you expected to make.

Seattle has had the last 5 years in double figure wins. SF on the other hand (prior to 1999,,,) had 16 straight seasons of 10 + wins. Seattle had 1 super bowl victory during the time. SF had 4 SB victories during that run. So I guess your statement is correct.....The Squawks don't hold a candle to the Whiners of the 80s and 90s. And yes there were plenty of past greats on that '99 team. But we got the job done. And now we are at another moment that on paper, looks a lot like '99. We just have to go in and get it taken care of.......
Go Rams.

Pretty huge.
NLCS starts October 14 (wgaf about the NLDS?)
The Lonzo era starts October 19, to be followed by the attack of the Kuzmaniacs.

The Rams currently have a window of opportunity to be increasingly locally relevant and a significant part of the sports news cycle. Last Friday's Plastering in the Palouse helped.

If the Rams win, they'll continue to matter. Lose and they drift towards footnote status in the LA sports scene.

I'm guessing with all the injuries to the D, cheat is going to stack the box and dare our WRs to beat one on one coverage.

Seam routes will be there for days, looking at you Higerett. Also thinking Woods can go over 100 against Seattle again. If you watched the Colts, look to torment Shaq.

On D we need to keep the pocket in tact and use an LB spy. Looking for another solid performance from Barron and for Ogle to step up and remind us why he was a 1st round pick.

Hey we might have a ruckus ass crowd Sunday! :)

Rams got a LOT of buzz goin on right now in LA. City hasn't had a football team worth getting behind for a long time. Fans will respond, I am certain of that. Probably at least 10k more this weekend, and if the Rams win holy smokes that Coliseum might become a true home field advantage.

I just hope they can drown out the Shecocks posers in their fake @$$ Hasselback and idiotic 12 jerseys. Send those MFers home in tears.

let's not get caught clipping yesterday's headlines.

Good point, and I like the saying.

In my opinion biggest game since game 16, Bradford’s rookie year, against Seattle to try and win the NFC West

I think this is true..........this is a game that can really impact the end of the year and SEA can be had right now, they aren't playing well.

Home games, versus NFC West opponents, are always more important....that 2 game swing is the main point....4-1 & 2-3....compared to 3-2 & 3-2....Huge game, because it's at home....we have to play them again at their house....which isn't a gimme.

For sure it's not a gimme at home against them so if yo are going to split with your division champs don't lose at home and hope to make it up later. It's a bad plan. They neeeeeed to take care of the front half of the split or sweep NOW.

Speaking of division, AZ comes to town before the bye week. Another big azz game. The Rams can get way up on both of them with early season wins.

They're not that good. They really weren't that good last year either.

Not like they were before you are right. They are more dangerous than flat out good because they have playmakers on defense that can be disruptive. But their O is not what it was without the threat of Lynch and the OL is poor.

I think the Rams win by double digits. I think SEA's window is closing and this isn't the team everyone thought it would be that would be a decade plus dominant force. They have been dropping off for a few years now.

Put the knife in them Rams LOL!!!!!

If the Rams win, they'll continue to matter. Lose and they drift towards footnote status in the LA sports scene.

I think footnote is to harsh for a team that is playing well and losing and being 3-2 doesn't relegate them to the bottom of the page.

Monday standings can look like...

Rams 3-2
Seahawks 3-2

or

Rams 4-1
Seahawks 2-3

what a difference!

Great post!! If I'm McVay, I have this exact post copied on a slide for all to see during the team's meeting back from the cowgirl's game. Set the tone and let them know right off the bat how crucial this game is for our standings!

I am sure that Wonder Boy McVay has had some wrinkles in his playbook that he hasnt used yet, knowing how important this game would be come week 5
Mcvay has been talking about self scouting a bit in interviews. I swear this guy doesn't miss a beat! Expect a FOCUSED well prepared team on Sunday. Wouldn't surprise me a bit to see the "D" pitch a shut out!

It's all about focusing on everything one day at a time. Let's look at ourselves and see what we can do to improve and come out and compete and try to get better. (y)

PFF has Joyner ranked as the # 4 Safety in the league as of today, hope he's well enough to return 100% healthy by gameday.

Man, I'm going to be in a Suite at Charlotte Motor Speedway during this one with free food and drinks!!!! I'll probably be the only one watching the race with one eye and the RAMS on my Ipad with the other!!!!!! YES, this is a monumentally huge game!!!!!!!!! It can be a springboard game for our RAMS that take us all the way to the playoffs!!!!!!! But like already said, it's the next game so it's big, just like Jacksonville will be the following week, etc., etc., etc........

Agree.
BTW, Gurley’s left-handed, and has thrown a pass or two in his college career.
I know, I know...hate to say it but, uh...
just sayin’.

It's one game. It's a game that I desperately want for us to win, but one game won't make or break the season. However, it sure would be nice to be 4-1.

HUGE game. It will come down to our defense. IMO it's still not fixed...or anywhere near fixed...or even average. I still feel like its bad and as teams get a better feel for Goff and our offense, it's going to be harder to score and we can't rely on winning shootouts. I hate shootouts!

So what do you think is wrong with the defense ?? I think the defense is close. It really is close IMO ? For this year at least. I know a couple of positions are still growing. I like the rotation Wade is using. Watching the first half of Dallas even saying this.

--BTW - The Rams offense is still getting better.Wait until Tavon & Watkins get there head straight .
-- Funny as well ,Jared Goff getting into the ear of his roommate & Everett. Think when there growth starts coming together. Both players are hungry.

I will also tell you what. Aaron Donald is starting to get going . Look back at 2 wins The Rams had against Seattle & what his play meant to those victories ?

I don't mean to downplay a game, but it's more important to come out of this game healthy in my mind then win the game. I also want to see Wade get Olgeltree right. I would like to see Wade get outside the box and use Olgeltree in a heavy blitzing role as he is real good at that. Or maybe move Olgle outside and move someone else into the ILB spot.

I would also like to see J Johnson get some more play time at safety.

If we could win and I think we can if we defend Wilson right, even blow them out possibly, then great. But Seattle
Is heating up and I am not going to sulk( ok maybe a little) or think the sky is falling if we lose.

Seattle will be coming hard, since they know we could move up 2 games on them. And they are still the reigning division champs until we dethrone them.
