I don't mean to downplay a game, but it's more important to come out of this game healthy in my mind then win the game.

We have been very fortunate avoiding injuries so far. At this point I think the only two irreplaceable guys on offense are Whitworth and Gurley. If I was making a deal with the Devil I'd trade a 4 week injury on other offensive starter for a win against Seattle right now.

Can hardly tell Smart #92 and whoever wears #95 apart....I know I saw that #92 getting pancaked on that 2 point conversion...that was eventually called a hold (bogus....and actually a terribly officiated game)

Judging from snap counts it looks like Smart and Walker split the snaps for the most part on the nose. Smart had 30 snaps and Walker had 16. What I'm curious about is what the percentages looked like from the 3rd quarter on. Was that 40ish to 20ish percent split the same when they were doing a better job vs Dallas' offense or did Walker get more in the latter part of the game. Another thing I'll need to go back and look at I think.

That's a play you save to call in the playoffs

I like the way you think - and sort of agree - except I also like the thought of making the rest of our opponents think about it.

There is a big difference in size.
Smart is small, but plays hard.

John Johnson was getting solid playing time. He will take over for Mo Alexander & Cody Davies at the end of the season.

The division's for the taking this season and the only threat I can see is the Seahawks.
The 49ers are out of it and the Cardinals are beatable.

On the NFL Show (highlight show in the UK) it was commented that some viewers are complaining that they've shown too much Rams coverage.
The Cowboys game was the featured game of the week last night previously the showed extended highlights of the Redskins game.
Hey, it's not our fault Gurley's filling up highlight reels.

The thing is, I don't see how they can avoid talking about this upcoming game between Seattle. It's a huge divisional game.

I would hope it's sooner rather than later...

Cody Davies has looked bad of late.
J Joyner might be on his last days as well ?
Ogletree needs to be more of a sure tackler. He is asked to cover a lot of range though. Barron is excellent in coverage. He is not very strong at point of attack though

Here’s my single biggest factor for the upcoming Seahawks game.

It’s our OL play.

If they continue to play well, even improve, I think all else will be fine on O for us. We will be able to run or pass at times of our choosing.

And if our O puts up 30+ points again, it’s gonna be a long afternoon for the Seahawks.

And I’ve gotta say that I really like what I’ve seen from Kromer’s OL lately.

What hasn't already been stated?

So far the Rams have shown they can play with any team. They came back from behind against the Redskins and Cowboys. This Rams team now has confidence in themselves and their coaches. It's going to be a very physical game. The Hags have some chink in their armor. The thing with them is they can rachet their game up a few notches in a week. Make no mistake the Rams will be in a battle. Rams have to take advantage of the home field. All games are big when you are thinking playoffs. This one is big in the standings. It's a BIG statement game for the winner. A Seahags win and they remain top dog while the Rams could lose recently gained confidence. A Rams win and they let the Seahags and everyone know they are real contenders.

As big as this game is, division-wise and all that, I still think last week's game was bigger. Never mind the credibility it gave us with the media, it had to of been HUGE for the psyche of the team. Yeah, they're confident and they believed in themselves, and all that, but still. There had to of been some part of their brain that said "yeah, but Indianapolis..." Going into Dallas, and laying the smack down on team that some said was a Super Bowl contender... that removed all doubt. They believed they were legit before the Cowboys game, now they KNOW they are legit. NOTHING can take that away, not even losing to Seattle.

I'm with you, but I view it as beating the Cowboys was the "cake", and sticking it to the Seahags will be the "icing" on that cake.

And Goff. I think Blythe could hold down any interior spot. But we cant have either Tackle go down.

On defense, Donald and Trumaine. Johnson may not seem important but he really does slow guys down..not perfectly but at a high level. He made more than a few huge plays against Dez and was obviously the player of the week In week 1.

Biggest game in the last 13 years .
You're not kidding! Only the 5th game and we are on the edge of our seats. We had a 5th game last year that brought us down to earth. We don't want that again. Neither does Gurley.

I am among the crowd that this is a Must Win game, even though only week 5.
We cannot cannot cannot let them go up a 1/2 game on us by beating us. If we win this Sunday I truly believe we will win the division. Cardinals will implode soon, and Whiners are 0-4.

I think they'll play well.

Seattle isn't a mismatch up front for us. Their back end is the strength of that defense, and their LBs of course are excellent.

The key matchup on offense is Goff vs the Sheattle secondary. He's gotta be careful. Rams will have fewer big plays available because those guys don't blow responsibilities, they're very disciplined and will bait him. IMO if he avoids turnovers like he has and gets the ball out on time according to his reads he'll be fine. Just don't force it and get cute.

Key matchup on defense is the DL collapsing the pocket correctly. They have to do it as a group and control lanes, and make Wussel throw from the pocket. I know a lot of people will say the run game is the key, but I think the run defense has improved game to game and in this one it's all about the contain on RW.
