Ah, I see what you're saying. They didn't use a 2nd rounder on him though, rather a 5th. The real fail there was on the Pead pick, but I don't expect them to hit on every pick ... no team does.

My least favorite pick for this regime is Tavon Austin.
I wasn't high on Austin either bu so far they have mismanaged round 2 consistently each year.

Joyner is a tweener. A safety that is too short.
Just like Donald was a DT that's too short? Besides, he's the same height as Bob Sanders and only slightly shorter than Polamalu or Earl Thomas. I've never really restricted certain positions to height limits anyway, if anything I like to look for the outliers because those guys are sometimes the most special due to their unique advantages over others at their position.

1. WR Odell Beckham Jr. - He's outstanding. All-around WR. Great hands.
2. DT Aaron Donald - Pretty self-explanatory. Dominant DT.
3. QB Derek Carr - I just like what I see. I think he'd be a great fit on the Rams and would be our QB for a long time.
Well, in all fairness, Carr was selected before the Rams 2nd round pick

To each his own. I never saw anything special in Joyners play. Wasn't a fan of the pick.

That 5th round pick was acquired by trading down in the 2nd round.

If they hadn't traded down they would have taken Bobby Wagner. But the question that comes to mind for me is if the Rams had taken Wagner would Ogletree be a Ram?

I thought Wagner was gone before they picked and thats why they did the deal.

@Zombie Slayer Jordy Nelson on the Rams would be nice, I think you are correct.

woofwoofmo missing a detail or two:
Unless we're talking about a different Rok, Rokevious Watkins was drafted in the 5th Round (150th pick) of the 2012 draft.
We traded down a few spots with that second rounder and picked up that 5th round pick which we used on ROK. So you could say that we got him with that 2nd rounder.

Nope. The Rams originally had pick number 45 from Dallas but traded it to Chicago (who took Jeffery)...Wagner was selected at pick 47 while the Rams took Pead at pick 50.

Right...after they made the trade.

JT and others have said that even at the time had they known they wouldn't have gotten Wagner they wouldn't have made the trade.
