Wow! Talk about some moves? I was really hoping for Williams to! Lol

Anyways let’s get a feel for ROD’s thoughts on today’s trades!

Hell yes! Getting rid of Peters for a starter at inside linebacker was awesome. Corbett will help solidify the offensive line after Noteboom's injury.

And Ramsey, I absolutely cannot say enough of. I've wanted him since his days at Florida State, and he's done nothing to disprove my thoughts.

No problem with Peters going but it has to be considered a negative on Snead. He traded a 2nd and a 5th for Peters and one year later trades him for a 5th and a scrub. Loses out on getting a 3rd if Peters hits FA after this season. Baltimore wins this trade. If they don;'t resign Peters they likely get a 3rd round comp pick.

Regarding Ramsey we should have signed him to an extension before trading two 1's. Now the Rams will overpay and we will be a team with a few star players dominating the cap and spit trying to hold things everywhere else together.

I like the trades. I’d prefer more Oline moves but realistically teams are not in a hurry to trade quality Olinemen.

I love the Peters deal.
The Ramsey trade not so much. I would have been happier with a 2020 1 and a 2021 2.

Obviously the rams weren't paying Peters next year so they were likley looking at taking a CB later in round 1. Would you rather have a proven top 2 kr 3 CB who is only 24 years old or 2 shots at getting a starting CB where we would selct in round 1 of the next 2 drafts. Great great move and we will all love it come playoffs

The issue is what will it take in money to make Ramsey happy. And will he stay happy. Most think he is faking back injury to pressure Jags to trade him. Possible character issue?

I dunno yet. Corbertt didn't exactly stand out over in Cleveland. The Peter's trade makes zero sense considering they just traded for an athletic lb which we had on the practice squad who should have made the roster, and we better hope we make it to the playoffs or farther so we dont feel not having those first rd picks.

Sorry, I don't get it. It feels like desperation and just throwing stuff against a wall hoping something sticks. I get losing Talib sucks, but if we're gonna throw away MORE 1st rounders, it should have been for a guy like Trent Williams or just about anyone else that could shore up the O-line.

OK great, we've got Ramsey, who's going to be insanely expensive and is a bit of a headcase. But we didn't gain anything because we gave up our best corner in a separate trade for WAY less than we gave up for the new guy. Today was basically 2 1sts, a 4th and Peters for Ramsey and a 5th. And Peters would have gotten us a 3rd if we had just let him walk in free agency. That's just a dumb trade.

I was actually in the minority in that I didn't mind if we had a down year this year, so long as we were well positioned to go into the new stadium next year looking strong and ready to pounce. Instead we've still got a garbage offensive line and now no draft capital. This is going to be one of those teams where 90% of the cap is consumed by 5 guys and the rest of the roster is filled in with rejects from Unnecessary Roughness

It's up to Ramsey now. I'd like to see him play the rest of this year before I draw any conclusions but for a day 1 reaction....there aren't many corners who are worth what the Rams gave up, let alone the money Ramsey will command. He's going to ask for the sun, moon and stars in a new contract and the Rams don't have much choice but to give it to him.

I’m just hoping this hype seriously lives up to it. It’s always good to have at least one 1 round pick. Rams need to stop going all in using up all early rounders for bottom dwellers that may not be good.

I just hope this is the right thing for the Rams at this point.

Honestly it feels we are bent over a barrel right now with Jalen Ramsey and his agent because we don't have a deal already negotiated. If we did those are usually announced right away. This is going to be a contract that has a good chance to fuck us hard!

Jalen leans heavily on Dion for advice and Dieon is already talking about how high the State Tax is in CA compared to anybody else.

Also this might be the first time Snead got fleeced. 2 1sts and a 4th rounder? The asking price was just 2 1st rounders? Sounds like he got talked into paying more versus a supposed bidding war with another team.

Sigh no 1sts ever.

I pray Jalen by himself reshapes this defense, I like the pick up of the Sam LB from the Ravens and getting rid of Peters. Same with the center from the Browns.

The asking price for the Jaguars was two first rounders and a good young player, from what I heard. I think Snead made out well.

You have to give to get, and Ramsey is the best cover corner in the NFL.

And I also like the pickup of Kenny Young and Austin Corbett, although I think Corbett plays left guard and Young starts at inside linebacker.

I trust Snead.......with that said:

I don't understand the Peters trade, I guess we have someone on the roster that can take that next step. Yes he was gone after this year but why get rid of him now?

I love the Ramsey trade, though we gave up starting QB type picks to get him.

Not sure if the O lineman has played a down yet in the NFL, but how can he possibly be worse than Allen or Demby? (or even Havenstein, if I'm allowed to say that)

Is it really that hard to run behind a wr as he's running in for a td after he beat you like a drum?

He had to trade Peters' salary and make room. Plus, how much longer are we gonna have to play this hybrid zone JUST FOR PETERS???

Wade's D requires pressure from the DL and they get there due to man coverage on the WRs.

Finally we have the pieces in place. Not expecting miracles day one, but yeah... this is part of getting where we want to go...

Peters was a dumb move from the beginning but you know whats worse than making a dumb move?

Not cutting your worst player because of your pride.

It love the Ramsey move and Peters cut.

I like Colvin for depth but want to see another move for a proven vet Guard.

I'd like to see how these guys play before I can truly say if I'm happy with it. As a Marcus Peters fan I'm bummed to see him go but I do think Ramsey will be an upgrade. Not that upset about the 1st round picks, why not go for established talent, picks are not guaranteed to work out
