This guy needs a break. Seriously. Yes he played awful.

He was a young man playing a game usually reserved for veteran QBs.

Oh. The o-line was trash. And one more thing. The o-line was trash.

Elite competitors dont play like garabe in the biggest moments of their life...sorry it doesnt happen.

He needed to make big throws and READ THE DEFENSE under pressure, and he couldn't get it done.

What did Gurley do? What did the offensive line do? How many drops did Cooks have?

It was a losing effort by the entire offense.

He got the fucking shit kicked out of him and he was still standing in the pocket and delivering should be touchdowns to Cooks at the end. The kid is a stud in the making. He made some bad decisions today but his coach and his o-line did not give him a chance imo. This team will grow from this.

He isn't an elite quarterback now. I said that in the Goff thread about whether he was elite.

Where was Cooks on that pass in the endzone? Guy makes $15M a year. Make the catch. Where was Donald? Where was Gurley?

This team is not in as good shape as everyone believes. Too many overpriced players that are not going to make enough impact that justifies their salary.

O line played like trash no doubt, but that doesnt mean we didn't have our chances..how many throws did he miss? Brady was under pressure all game long but still made ENOUGH big plays, enough right reads.

Circumstances have to be too perfect for Goff to play well. He doesn't consistently make plays under pressure or when things break down.

If McVay gets beat schematically like he did today, we have NO chance.

Listening to Sirius radio. The host just said Cooks is overrated. My sentiment as well.

Goff is taking too much blame.

You dont have to be an elite QB to be an elite competitor. He had his chances today..first TD opp to Cooks was very late...waaaaay late. Put that on cooks if you want its on Goff.

So you expect things to go well when the offense is beat schematically AND there's constant pressure on the QB? Please tell me who you have watched go through both of those things simultaneously and be successful.

I mean, if Cooks catches the touchdown Goff makes as many big plays as Brady did. And Goff's would have been for a touchdown where New England had to still run it in. And then Goff got them in field goal range and GZ missed it at end. 10 points right there. So Goff made as many big plays as Brady did. Both defenses were on point tonight. Patriots skill players just made more plays.

Sorry but it’s a team game, no one player is going to win the game if the rest of the unit is playing like garbage

One more thing.

The o-line played like trash. They should return those gifts they got from Goff and Gurley.

It is not like the Patriots have All Pros across that d-line.

Yeah he needs perfect circumstances to
Win .. he needs plain sailing games ..like no crowds noise .. you know like the New Orleans game two weeks ago coz that was optimal
Game conditions

Goff has talent.. he has potential.

He has shown some production also the last two years. But yeah he isn't there yet

I think McVay is actually getting too much blame.. sure he is partially to blame,

But Romo pointed out a least 3 times someone was wide open... the same thing happened in the Saints game.

It's pretty simple - if Goff can keep getting better then this team will be a force for years to come.

The NFL is just all about the quarterback.

He is on the young side but I thought he was mature enough to handle it. Just a couple months younger than Brady was in his first SB. And older than Roethlisberger in his first Super Bowl

The experience gap was obvious today. Belichick in his 12th Super Bowl vs the QB playing in his first.

When we get beat schematically we get embarrassed:

MIN last yr
DET this yr
CHI this yr
PHI this yr
NE this yr

If McVay isnt putting us in thr perfect situations to succeed, we get beat and its not pretty. Sometimes the players have to step up and say enough is enough and COMPETE.

Great point. Too much blame on McVay. Goff did not play well. No doubt. Just too much blame for him.

Of course he is going to stare down his #1 option. He never had time to check down to the other options.
