The only reason I'm posting this so early is that I just saw this article mentioning that Sammy "The Red Rocker" Hagar will be performing at half-time.

SAMMY HAGAR To Perform During Halftime At San Francisco 49ers Vs. Seattle Seahawks

Legendary rocker Sammy Hagar will perform at halftime during CBS's "Thursday Night Football" between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks on October 22 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Hagar's new band THE CIRCLE, which also features Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson, plays hits from Sammy's four decades of rock (MONTROSE, solo, VAN HALEN, THE WABORITAS, CHICKENFOOT) as well as classic tracks from the LED ZEPPELIN catalog.

Too bad we won't get to see him but play these videos instead at half-time.

I saw The Red Rocker twice in concert. Great shows!

Hard to believe he would agree to play in a shit-hole like that. :snicker:

I'm pulling for a 49ers victory.

I can't believe I said that.
Whoever loses is in sole possession of last place in the NFC West. I think we all agree that Seattle is/should be the better team. Hope both teams play like :poop:.

Years ago we were driving to the coast here in NorCal. I got pulled over and nailed for 65 in a 55. After I got through grumbling about the ticket, we continued on the journey. About three miles down the road THE song came on the CD I had in the changer. The kids in the back seat completely cracked up. 'I Can't Drive 55'!

That Montrose 1st album is one of my all time favorites, not one bad song on it. A lot better than some of the crap that's out there today.

I'm rooting for a sinkhole. But Seattle is still a dangerous team. 2-5 would mean that would have to go on a 9 game winning streak to have any chance at playoffs. So let's go whiners.

I want to see a shit show. Sloppy performance on a crappy field.

Penalties, fights, etc. Show how overrated these teams really are.

But I won't be watching. Fuck them both. I'll be playing BATMAN.

The Red Rocker. Saw him at a Day Of Rock & Roll in the Superdome.(late 70's?) He was an opening act with his trampoline he loves to jump on. He , Nazareth, Boston, Van Halen, Heart , Blue Oyster Cult ( with lasor light show), Over 16 hours in the Dome. I forget the other Headliners as I forget a lot these days. There are more OLD Rockers cashing in today than ever before. REO SpeedWagon, Styx, Chicago etc. They all look like they are filled with formaldehyde . I guess make it while you can and try to pay for half the drugs you did that did'nt kill you. Hope both Teams hurt each other badly. Hope fans in the stands have to go dress out.:rolllaugh:

The Montrose clip took me on a trip on the Way Back Machine. Montrose was one heckuva guitarist. The last time I saw him play live was at some "club" that was converted from a warehouse in the Martin Ave area of Santa Clara, early 90's time-frame...

Any of y'all remember the Midnight Special show? Not the best clip out there but it's an all-time favorite Montrose song of mine.

Before the game starts a little music talk. Saw Ronnie Montrose during the mid-seventies when he opened for AC/DC with Bon Scott in San Jose, CA. The first song Ronnie did was Town Without Pity. Sent a couple of emails back and forth with him(fan to guitar idol thing-no restraining order was ever issued). :shades: Unfortunately he succumbed to a lethal alcohol/depression mix and ended it all.
