We opened as +6 dogs and now about 4.5-4 point dogs now. Wish I would have taken advantage of that 6 point dog number. Line has moved extremely fast and sharks took advantage pretty quickly!

How many of those shitty Eagles fan end up in Sofi stadium? Hoping we can get it to our 70-30.

I just hope McVay brings his 'A' game to Sofi on Sunday, this is likely his biggest test since the 49'ers.
Philly is vulnerable, they are beatable, so let's send them home with their first loss for the season.

Philly has played @New England (1-3), Minnesota (1-3), @Tampa Bay (3-1), Washington (2-2)

Offensive Matchup...

Scoring: Philly 29.5 (5th) Rams 24.5 (13th)
Third Down: Philly 43.64% (9th) Rams 43.86% (8th)
Rushing: Philly 4.7 (3rd) Rams 3.7 (23rd)
Yards Per Pass: Philly 7.4 (T-10th) Rams 7.4 (T-10th)
Sack Percentage: Philly 7.8% (22nd) Rams 5.14% (9th)
Passer Rating: Philly 92.4 (14th) Rams 78.1 (24th)

Defensive Matchup...

Scoring: Philly 22.5 (16th) Rams 21.3 (15th)
Third Down: Philly 46.15% (25th) Rams 26.67% (2nd)
Rushing: Philly 3.3ypc (5th) Rams 4.4ypc (24th)
Yards Per Pass: Philly 6.4 (16th) Rams 5.9 (10th)
Sacks: Philly 6.29% (21st) Rams 5.30% (26th)
Passer Rating: Philly 99.5 (26th) Rams 79.3 (8th)

Cooking the numbers...

:helmet: Philly has a big time offense that threatens in both phases. Their weakness is their pass protection but it is more than made up for by their run game and balance. Vs the Rams defense this will be like the Shitters, in that if you don't stop the run you are up shit creek, and in Philly's case they have a better QB who can hurt you more off play action.

:helmet: Rams offense will be tough for Philly to get off the field. Expect McVay to concede the run relatively early, hopefully he can run occasionally to keep them honest but this one will be a lot of relying on Stafford's arm. Philly will need to blitz to get to him. So Stafford needs to be sharp on his blitz pickups, vice how he looked vs Cincy.

I think this game hangs on how well the Rams defense gets off the field. Because if they do that the Rams offense will get a lot of chances to ball control them, which is a big part of why they are 2-2 despite a very tough schedule. Rams offense will need to keep the pressure on in sustaining drives, and hopefully build a lead and maintain it with those long possessions to reduce the importance of ground game where Philly has us.

Winnable game but it has no room for error for the Rams.

Easier said then done, but its the old Seahawks/Russell Wilson play. Keep Hurts in the pocket and he cant really hurt you. Let him get outside and he'll kill you

In the ESPN weekly rankings they list each team's "Biggest issue on defense"

The Eagles issue plays right to the Rams offensive strength

Philadelphia Eagles (4-0)

Week 4 ranking: 3
gn-arrow.png

Defensive efficiency: 64.5 (12th)

Biggest issue on defense: Pass defense

The Eagles are 27th in passing yards allowed (260.8 per game) and have yielded the third-most passing touchdowns with nine, trailing only the Broncos (13) and Bears (10). Their top two slot corners, Avonte Maddox (torn left pectoral muscle) and Zech McPhearson (torn right Achilles tendon), are expected to miss the remainder of the season, and they are thin at the safety spot as well. -- Tim McManus

Rams Strength of Schedule has also been a good deal tougher than that of the Eagles.

Well, defending PUKA , KUPP, ATWELL and HIGBEE ought to be no problem for the Eagles then...... :laugh1:

More than anything they have got to stop the eagles run game. If they can't do that they are done and nothing else will matter.

Game is at Sofi. 1:05pm PST

No reason why we can't win this one.
Eagles aren't as good as they were last year and that secondary is suspect.

Honestly, My main goal is to come out of this game healthy.

Looking at the schedule we are realistically projecting towards 10 or 11 wins if we keep playing this well.

Especially if Kupp comes back healthy.

We can beat the Eagles though, if we play our best game.

Interesting matchup of Rams passing game and WR's vs the Eagles DB's who have struggled this year.

Especially the slot position. Kupp, if back, is the best slot WR in the NFL. This is where the Eagles are struggling.

It's a match made in Ram heaven. But the Eagles are countering with signing Bradley Roby.

Will Roby play? Don't know.

I went to the Saints message board to see their thoughts on Roby when he was released. Nearly all of them did not like the cut.

The saints fans felt Roby was still a solid player. Though he only had 1 pick the last two seasons.

Anyways it will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

On a side note, I went back and rewatched the Colts game to focus on Kyren and why PFF gave him a bad grade due to his pass blocking. I don't get it, I am coming to the end of the 3rd quarter and Kyren hasn't missed one blitz. On a side note of a side note, I noticed he is wide open coming out of the backfield constantly. It must be 10 times he is wide open and Stafford doesn't even look at him. There is so much opportunity here we need to capitalize on. Kyren gets into his routes so quickly and lots of incompletions or missed throws could have been dumped off. Anyways. I did notice that one sack given up was when Rivers was in the backfield and missed the rusher.

Philly has one of the best interior lines in the NFL. When they create pressure this year it’s usually been right up the middle, just destroying the pocket. I expect McVay to move Stafford around a lot. I think we will see a steady dose of play action, bootlegs, and roll outs. Their secondary has holes in it though. If we give 9 time, I think we can score some points
