Nah, 83 is Reynolds. I watched that and forgot about the touchdown. I was so impressed by that crackback block that I forgot about the score. That was a hell of a hit.
My eyes are for shit then. Looked like an 81.

Before I entered this thread, I knew exactly the one you were talking about. Whoever it was, enjoyed laying the wood. That's the difference between last year and this year. Last year, it was the defense that was nasty and in your face. This year, its the offense. When they get up from getting first downs, they drop the ball with confidence. Hell last week, they were spinning the ball on the ground. These guys on offense have swagger like they aren't surprised after making catches. There is a confidence in this offense we haven't seen in a long time. Once the defense catches up, we'll be dangerous.

No doubt he did because the defender had the angle and would have at least gotten to him enough to let the 3 defenders chasing him to catch up.

2 things about that play. And thanks for posting it @-X- you are the video king.

The fake to Austin froze three defenders long enough to let Gurley get by all of them, then they couldn't catch up to the play. They had to stay in position with their eyes on him which allows Gurley to break free.

And that subtle little shift to the left that put the Cowboy defender on his ass was a nice move.

This play was the perfect example of how this sport is a team game. If TA doesn't freeze those defenders, or the block doesn't happen, maybe the play doesn't happen.

This was a really well designed play and they executed it as well as possible.

Lots of highlights in this game for sure and that was the big one!

It's why there is more than stats in determining how guys are playing.
Austin shift....the fact the D has to be aware of Austin, and the block don't show up in stat lines.

Exactly.

The three things, when you include Gurley's quick shift to the left, that made the play and got the score won't show up but you know these coaches know exactly what happened.

The play design was great.

How awful is Moose Johnston as a color commentator? It was indeed Reynolds and all this tool could comment on was to whine about "poor angles" of the Dallas secondary

I'm pretty convinced that crushing block contributed heavily to Gurley scoring

Far as I'm concerned this was an "in you face, at your house" butt whupping, Cowboy Nation has no idea what hit them

Reynolds. I replayed it a few times to try and catch the # and the hit got better and better each time. He got plenty of love as headed toward the sideline too. Great block!

Same with that holding call on the 2pt conversion.

I'd really like to see Reynolds get a few more snaps or maybe just let him be earlier in the reads in the play design on a few plays. Of course now with Thomas returning it's going to be even more difficult to see that happen.
