Combine talk is nothing but NFL gossip. Other people outside the Rams organization discussing Donald's Future is just pure speculation. We all know Donald is now on a year to year basis on with regard to if he will play. In reality all players are to some degree. The window is open for another super bowl run in 2024 and maybe 2025 and Donald knows that better than anyone. I doubt he walks away from the chance to get another ring. Plus I think he had lot of fun last year. Unless there is some simmering dissatisfaction with Shula or the new DL coach, Donald will return without question. Leading up to free agency and the draft is the NFL silly season and all kinds of speculation gets tossed around. Remember Last year the Rams were supposedly shopping Stafford. I'm surprised the are not more trade rumors circulating around the Rams trading Kupp.

Not or nothing, but I cant really remember an off season where Aaron Donald wasnt somehow a hot topic. Holdouts, contract negotiations, retirement babble etc etc

it's not like she's writing up a story with a headline saying "Aaron Donald wants out of LA?" for the clicks like PFT will inevitably do now. She's just talking on a podcast, which is more informal, what she has heard and noticed with a heavy emphasis on the "don't freak out".

I saw the interview, Sneed was in no way iffy about Donald and his return. This is a non-story worthy of click-bait status.

This has been obvious for at least 2 years now, AD was going to retire after our 2021 SB win, in which he made clear he was going to do. I'm feeling AD is committed and had fun last year but will play out his contract and ride off into the sunset regardless of what happens.

This our last year with AD and probably the second to the last year without Stafford.

Nothing new to report here. If you can't read the tea leaves this whole time I don't know what to tell you.

That said that's why this is another push the chips to the middle year for us again.

McVay has been here 7 years going into his 8th. What year, besides last year, wasn't a "push the chips in the middle"? These guys are always "all in". I don't think it has anything to do with Donald or Stafford. It's about winning championships, whatever way they can with whomever they can.

You're right, every year the goal is a Super Bowl, in reality since McVay has been here there are cycles:

2017: Playoff Appearance and loss in Wildcard Round
2018: Super Bowl LIII Appearance
2019: 9-7 missed playoffs
2020: Playoff Appearance and Loss in Divisional Round
2021: Super Bowl LVI Appearance
2022: 5-12 missed Playoffs
2023: Playoff Appearance and loss in Wild Card Round
2024: ???

Pattern recognition anybody?

We are all in with the final year of a First Ballot All Time Great HOF'r.

Yeah this year has a little special meaning for the organization to. Now McSnead won't straight come out and say it but:
'In The Art of War, Sun Tzu says, “Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.”'

If you want to pretend that this “report” (consisting of “chatter” and “tone”) wasn’t intended to foment concern among Rams fans (notwithstanding the fact that there is nothing new from Donald himself), that’s your prerogative. No need to respond with snide sarcasm to those who react differently.
And yet every year ROD has this very discussion based of absolutely no evidence. People here disparage AD over that same lack of evidence ce. Clearly she a d everyone else in the media talking about it is doing their jobs based on what goes on at this site and in the fanbase.

Surprised it took this long for this annual shit to happen. I’m not worried about it in the slightest. He seemed the happiest he’s been in years. Until he’s gone, he’s here and a Ram. Rumors are rumors.

Nah.

In the real world, things can change. And, again.. if you listened to the actual place she discussed it and had full context, you would get that.
Instead, you're knee-jerking off of the information.

You don't like to hear that things evolve, that's fine. Doesn't mean that it's made up.

This is kinda like people who think all lawyers are slimeballs.. or all athletes are entitled.. all actors are prima donnas.. that kind of stuff.

When you operate from the place that someone is ill-motivated, it obviously defines the way you perceive information that comes from them.

Suggesting her intent was to stir shit is an attack on her character and integrity. She's done nothing to deserve that.

And you'd have to actually listen to her and the entire portion to know that.

But some choose to simply react to the secondhand information and use that to judge her.

Nonsense.

I will say that if AD is looking for more money I'll be disappointed in him. Not that he cares about that or anything. But I think the Rams have done right by him.

Outside of that I have been saying I expect he'll start being subbed vs certain teams on early downs, the ones who are run heavy. That should help him hold up as he gets into that final stretch. Let him settle in as a rush specialist from the interior. If he sticks around long enough that will end up being his role before he punches out. Does he want to do that. Lot of players think they're gonna punch out at a given point but when those moments come they see the other side of that coin. In this case it would be somewhere around 10 sacks a year perhaps.

For a guy like him who loves ball so much it's gonna be hard to make that call. Wonder if he'll go into coaching. But hopefully that stuff's a year or maybe two away.
