I wonder if there is any legitimacy to this statement that WF included in their mock next to Rams pick:

Charlie Campbell reported that the Rams would be targeting an offensive lineman if they still had their first-round draft choice.

Why would they say that to anyone if that was true? That is why I either doubt they said that or, if they did, they really don't have any intention of taking a OT at #36

IDK man this year watching McVay and Snead talk they are not even joking, they are very tight lipped. I doubt anybody said that if I had to guess.

If it is true I’d have to say Ocyrus Torrence, Steve Avila, or Bergeron from Syracuse would be the pick.

However I wonder if they are hoping Kancey drops to them, they got very tight lipped and rigged when Jordan asked them about D-Linemen and Kancey in two interviews I seen.

I tend to agree. They hit gold on another smaller DL from Pittsburgh (and not its not that simple) but he is in the mold of Donald at least. I'm sure being drafted by the Rams would benefit him more then any other team in the NFL. Having Donald as a mentor would be priceless to him.

I would rather see them pair Mazi with AD than add Kancey. Because Kancey's a 3T. Now on third down the two of them would be something, and maybe that alone makes him worthwhile. But I'd much rather see Mazi's oversized ass in there next to AD and eating attention so AD can do his thing.

I would just hate to have them draft a NT with almost no pass rushing ability at #36. That would make me even more sad we let Robinson walk for a pretty cheap contract.

I'm not pining for Mazi or anything as a pick. But his film to me looks like a round 2-3 guy and that's admitting I'm not stacking a board or anything like that so just guesstimating. He's physical but not dominant. Can anchor well even vs doubles but does get washed out too. I've seen him mocked in round 1 which is too high for him but where we are picking I think he's viable.

He'll get isolated looks on linemen at times and destroy them on the rush. So I guess I differ from you in saying he has no pass rush ability. For a big man you put in the middle to draw attention he's got some shakes to him.

What we need in there is someone who can cause problems if you single them. To limit what teams can do in prep for AD. From that perspective I think he's a fit. The guy is a load in there. Anyway here he is vs a disciplined OL:

That list from Schrags had one guy that surprised me in Stevenson.
I think he was in somebody's mock here day 3 and yeah he's impressive just never hear about him from the "experts"

I think Ika could eat up blocks and be taken later than Mazi.

This is kind of scary to see:
Zay Flowers

The article suggests Rams are in on Zay. No thank you to a trade up for him.
I could see it, and other than his size, there is a LOT to like… he’s freak with his cuts. I think he’ll be a great pro.

Oh I like him, for sure. I just want no part in a trade up into the 1st to get him. I don't like him THAT much. It would cost us dearly.

It used to be an annual tradition that the family packed up and headed south for draft weekend, to leave me in at peace in my obsession. Her family moved much further south and lost a few members, so it doesn't happen anymore, but, they do know they won't see much of me this weekend.

More info on Wilson's medical status (from the above article), and it doesn't sound promising:

A shocking late development this week was that some recent medical reports changed the draft status of Texas Tech defensive end Tyree Wilson. One top-10 team that could take a defensive lineman tpld WalterFootball.com that they had dropped Wilson off their draft board. The reason why is that the team feels Wilson's foot injury was not addressed successfully.

"I looked at the X-ray of his foot, and it looks like Frankenstein. It's all mangled," said a director of player personnel. "We dropped him off our board. Our doctors think they're going to have to re-do it. You have to ask, 'How soon are you getting what you think you are getting?' Whatever they did to his foot, it's not right. He could go out and practice and his his foot will start hurting, and then he'll get shut down and they will have to re-do it."

As a result of the injury, that team thinks Wilson could have slide in the top 10. They do not believe Wilson will go as a top-five pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

No chance he goes #2 or even #3 for that matter if this is true.

"Frankenfoot" Wilson. Wonder what the Rams' take is on him.
