Is it too early to start talking about the upcoming draft? The Senior Bowl and Shrine game have already been played and we know the Rams play close attention to those games. I'd like to know who you all think stood out and might be on the Rams radar.

Also like to hear your take on Ram needs and your mock drafts.

Can someone post what draft picks the Rams have this year? Thanks

It's NEVER too early to talk about the Draft!!
I, for one, am really liking the Center from Minnesota Jerry Michael Schmitz. But I struggle if we should take him with our first pick at 36 or trade down closer to where Kansas City took the Center from Oklahoma who shall not be named as to reduce the inflammation levels of perpetually incensed Rams fans.

Sure we can discuss whatever we want here in ROD on the NFL. But due to my small brain, I am restricted to the closest Ram must-do stuff before we get to April 27-29. Stuff ongoing now is of course the ongoing dragging on with our DC coach Morris. I am sure that the Ram Org has been working hard behind the Indy :clownShow on just who would be the best replacement for DC Morris.

We know Ram Org. is not concerned with designating Franchise or Transition Players. If there’s one pending free agent who could get tagged by the Rams, it’s kicker Matt Gay. However, Rams have no $$$ to spend & very little draft capital to go that direction.

The real big objective they would be working on is March 15th, 2023 when the Rams must be under the 2023 Salary Cap. Sure the Org has determined the RFA's & ERFA's they will submit Qualifying Offers to with expiring contracts to retain a Right of First Refusal/Compensation like:

DT Marquise Copeland
DE Mike Hoecht
CB Shaun Jolly
OG Chandler Brewer

McVay has a Massive amount of work that needs to be accomplished & worked on before the draft.

Some of us are way ahead of you on this, just take a look at the NFL Draft/College Football Forum page ...

The Rams are projected to have ten total picks to start the draft (11, if Morris ends up with a head coaching gig):
3 of their own: 2nd, 3rd, 6th
4 Compensatory: 4th (DWilliams), 5th (ACorbett), 6th (SJD), and 7th (Obo)
3 via trade: 6th (Titans - R Woods), 6th (Green Bay - C Bojorquez + our 7th), 7th (Det - M Brockers)

The extra one for Morris would be a 3rd round Compensatory pick.

I cant remember too far back, but I do recall my sleeper pick in 2021 was Ben Skowroneck and last year I wanted Jeremy Ruckert who was drafted 1 spot before us by the friggin Jets
This year? Im hoping for a late round pick of Clayton Tune QB.

I'd like the Rams to get Haener midrounds as our backup and maybe QB of the future.

McVay probably loves him some Josh Downs. Nice undersized round 2 selection to placate @Loyal.

I'm a huge fan of Felix Anudike-Uzomah (Kansas State). Edge rusher. Kinda raw, but has oodles of potential.

Sean Tucker (Syracuse) is my running back of choice...unless, by some miracle, Bijan Robinson falls to our second round pick.

I suggested 2 RB’s last year and the rand drafted one.

This year? Devone Achane and my man crush Kendre Miller.

Keandre reminds me of Beast Mode when he was in college, no one’s talking about or knows him now. Mark my words he’s going to be a baller. 3-4 round guy I pray we get.

Devone is more of a cut and blast of speed guy that McVay likes for an off pace back.

Eli Ricks is in play for us the beginning of day 2 and I love his awareness and ball skills.
