Thank you for replying and so glad that you read the post and came away with the completely wrong impression from what I was saying.
Well my bad then... Rushing around this morning, heading to my son's college baseball game. So I must have missed your intent.

Sorry but fuck trick plays, that does not win championships. Playoff football is still essentially tough defense and the ability to run the ball. Of course in today’s NGL you need to throw it too but clock management demoralizing the opposing defense by running it down their throats wins more often.
It's not about trick plays. It's jet sweeps that hold LBs, that help the run game. It's making teams play more honest. Forcing them to defend every blade of grass.

All good! It gave me a laugh :D How'd the game go?
They won their first playoff gane in yrs and split the doubleheader. So tomorrow is the rubber gm in a best of 3. It's only D3, but he's a senior so every AB is valued as there are not many left.

There was a time when the jet sweep was considered a trick play.

I know they relied on it with Goff, not sure Stafford needs that part of the playbook.

It is OK for me but when they start running that movement 6 or 8 times a game I think defenses catch up to it. And, takes a long time to develop anything after faking it so the Oline has to be holding for those extra seconds.

With a studly backfield like we’ve got I would like to see a lot less of that and a lot more up the seam, circle routes and throws over the top getting big chunks.

lots of players thought by many to be second round picks still on the board
Because those who thought that are guessing and going by too many talking heads who are also guessing or listening to "insiders" who are bullshitting them.

Good perspective ... re-freshing.
Thanks for the kind words, problem is now we wait a couple of years to see how it unfolds

I’m cautiously optimistic (lol, as usual)

At the end of the day, with regards to the ”skill position“ players, it tends to be the great unknown of just what’s exactly between the ears that rules out

Can't believe a draft expert like you thought Dalman, who went early 4th, would be an UDFA.

Need to work in the scouting skills.
Considering in this draft the usual UDFA talent level could be taken in the sixth, and seventh rounds I don't seem to be far off.
Because those who thought that are guessing and going by too many talking heads who are also guessing or listening to "insiders" who are bullshitting them.He went in round 3. 32 teams all with varying needs can make it difficult to project late second to late third rounders.

He went in round three. With 32 teams all prioritizing different needs, going from late second to late third isn't too bad of an evaluation.
