Question...

What in the hell does YouTube TV give you for $73 per month? That's their subscription price for YouTube TV, not the Sunday Ticket package. That sure seems like a lot of money unless they have some awesome programming that I am not aware of.

I'll be buying their Sunday Ticket package WITHOUT becoming a YouTube TV subscriber unless somebody can enlighten me on why I should subscribe.
We've been using it for a year and a half. Nearly as many channels, more that I actually like, than our previous DISH package for less money. I'm fine with them as a streaming service.

I paid about $300 the past couple years or around $75 a month. Then I used sling for $30 for mnf.

Youtube made it more expensive. This isn't yikes. It's bullshit. And you kind of have to take youtubetv for mnf. $70-$80 for that to boot. Jeez.
You paid $300 for the ticket? How much was the direct tv bill?

You dont have ESPN? Or NBC/ABC?
Sunday Ticket always only showed the Sunday Afternoon games, there is nothing different. Not sure why this is an issue?
Nope, all though we generally have Prime membership so TNF is ok. We sometimes have Peacock so at times we'll have SNF. But I don't ever have anything that would have MNF. I wouldn't call it an issue it's just disappointing. Now I will say youtube is better than directv in that you aren't screwed into a contract just for the right to purchase sunday ticket. But still falls short where I was hoping the NFL would go with their streaming options.

Ugh. I was very hopefu they would let you subscribe to an individual team and/or have a pay per view option so you can just pay to watch a game here, a game there. Guess that is not gonna happen.... BS.

A little yikes. Still better than having to subscribe to Directv which is a ripoff and a horrible company. But still, was hoping for a team package or something. I might still do the vpn/nfl international thing since it's roughly $150 cheaper still to do that way.
1. YoutubeTV subscription. $73/ month. I use this for my regular TV programming, too.
2. VPN app/mock location app on your phone. I use "Fake GPS." Free on Android.
3. YoutubeTV app on your phone. Login to your account.
4. Pull up the YoutubeTV app on your smart TV, device, etc. Login. Select Update location until it gives you the option to do so via mobile
5. Set your mock location or vpn on your phone to LA. I just use Sofi's location so it's consistent.
6. Update YouTubeTV location using your phone & the app. It'll apply to your account across all devices.
7. Watch all Rams games, including prime time & postseason.
8. After the season pause your YoutubeTV subscription until August.

I've been doing this for 2-3 years. Be sure during initial setup of your YoutubeTV account, you use the same LA zip code to set your home location, that way you don't have to login every three months to update it.

The European version of NFL gamepass has been so good imo. I get all sunday morning and afternoon games, I get access to redzone - which will also allow me to pick a game and switch back and forth between redzone and the game I am watching (for like during commercial breaks), I also can open it on multiple devices, and last but not least I can stream all the primetime games through it as well.

I'm on a free trial of youtubeTV right now because I caught the Caitlyn Clark fever and had to watch her play live. It's a pretty good service from what I can tell and you also have unlimited DVR space from what I understand.

Not sure I understand the disappointment.
Youtube replaced Direct TV, everything else is the same
Its the "Sunday Ticket" not the "Every NFL game Ticket"

The unlimited DVR is actually what got me hooked. The ads have gotten inconsistent on that over the past bit, but every other streaming service had stupid limits. *OF NOTE* Your DVR is really just a pointer to the most recent airing of whatever show it was - I was hella pissed off when my 2022 super bowl recording was overwritten with the NFL shorts version.
But for normal shows, its the best DVR in streaming.

It's ok to not understand my reasoning. The NFL package in US has been a pet peeve of mine for a while now. Glad you're happy with it.

That's good to hear. Was wondering how well the dvr worked.

Might see how the youtube stream works the first year. I never once had an issue with NFL International streams via cross ocean VPN. Always weary of other streaming sites stability during live sports. Hopefully it's not a shit show for the first few months.

I honestly have been so impressed with the cross the seas version. I feel absolutely robbed when I think about what the directv version is that has been offered in the states. Absolutely robbed.

Seems like youtube will be offering some neat customization options, like building your own 4 game box.

But the over the seas version has been more than ample for me. I'm on 2 or 3 years of use with it and really have had no issues.

Gotcha, so its not an issue with the youtube package, just the Sunday Ticket in general? Dont know if happy is the way I'd say, but the price seems reasonable

Geez dudes I've told you. I'm out of market in Tucson so I can only get national broadcast games via FUBO.

So I pay $12/mo for NFL+ and watch all the games in full after they are over, i.e. 10 min after the Rams play I can sit down and watch the entire game without any workarounds. So if the Rams are the late game I take my choice of the early games and when I'm done I can watch the Rams no matter where they play.

Kinda yikes. But on the bright side, Youtube TV lets you have 6 members in your family, and doesn't limit you to a single stream like Sunday ticket (I think you can have 3 or 4 simultaneous)?
Does anyone have information on if Sunday Ticket will limit accounts to one viewer at a time?

NFL + doesn’t make you wait 45 minutes after the game until it airs?

You know, I had just assumed it would be within the Youtube TV app and behave the same as other channels. But now that you ask, I remember what they say about assuming. So....no idea.
