I'm figuring since I brought up Donny Osmond yesterday I thought I'd post a video of The Osmond's taking their crack at metal...

Didn't see your other post but... My wife was always a huge Donny Osmond fan growing up. I heard he was coming to town a couple years back so I got us front row tickets to his show for her birthday. I was half doing it as a joke but I knew she would really want to go see him. Turned out, he put on one hell of a show.

My two sisters were fanatics.... They must have played Sweet And Innocent 10,000x a week.... uggh.

Though I wouldn't mind seeing them.

My mom shared a story with me just recently, I never knew.

She was the first graduating class from Clairemont High (San Diego- later the school Fast Times of Ridgemont High was based. Didn't know that either! "Mom your high School was Fast Times High! That movie was a classic when I was in High School. (1982 release) How Ironic.")

Anyway, in September 1958, a few months before the plane crash, Richie Valens came to an opening of her high school, and she said it was such a surprise and so much fun. She and her friends were dancing and had a blast. Valens was only 17, himself! So, he was their age.

So young to die. It must have been such a shocker.

The Surf Ballroom is about an hour and a half from where I live , the wife and I have been there a few times , we've even gone out to the crash site

The Surf Ballroom still holds the Winter Dance Party every year , although the Wife and I have never actually gone to the Winter Dance Party it's self , although we sure still want to , just to say we have

but we have been to a couple other concerts there , they still bring in big name acts every year , I imagine it's on alot of performers bucket list to play the legendary Surf Ballroom

it truly is a magical place , the second you walk in the front door , you can feel it , it's just different

This song is dedicated to two star-crossed lovers destined for one another’s affection. Tragically, the female lover succumbs to a horrible ending of life inherited from a genetic and debilitating disease. It causes a slow, painful death, stricken by much suffering and torment.

Her lover is jilted and beside himself in grieving and mourning for the love so close, yet lost. He yearns in anguish to be with his destined bride, but is conflicted with his feelings of remorse and contempt for the fate that has begrudgingly taken his romance and replaced it with a stark, desolate grief.

Truly a sad, Shakespearean tragedy, our young hero yearns to be with his true love. One. Last. Time.
