Your story about being forced to play country songs reminded me of the "Bob's Country Bunker" scene in the Blues Brothers movie where they play both kinds: Country and Western. ha. Did these country dives you played at have chicken wire in front of the stage?

No chicken wire in those clubs so you had to be good at dodging the occasional flying objects though that rarely occurred. We could play all sorts of songs as long as we "countryfied" them without the natives getting restless.

My mother only saw me play at a club once. We were playing at the Rusty Nail in Campbell, CA. One Friday night my mom and the bass player's mom decided to show up. There was a woman eyeballing me the whole show. While we were playing the Pointer Sister's 'Fire she jumped up on stage and tackled me, knocking me into the drum kit. That never happened before or since. Don't know if she wanted me or just wanted to shut me up cause they took her away.

I'm firmly convinced that the power of music combined with alcohol makes anyone on stage sexually attractive to females. You could get a 4-foot hairy troll with a giant nose, put a guitar around his neck and some demented women would get the hots for him.

Good one @Selassie I !!!

Hemingway is the OG Most Intersting Man in the World. A real man's man. His work is just so easy reading and entertaining...adventure! "The Old Man and The Sea" is absolutely one of my favorite tales. There is an audio version with Charlton Heston reading it that is great and is probably a free download from your library. Heston (a fellow Most Intersting Man in the World) speaking really helps with the visualization.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Marilyn Manson, Phil Collins, Lemmy Kilmister(Motorhead), John Lydon(Sex Pistols), Dee Snyder(Twisted Sister) among many others would make the list.

Enter the Sandman like you have never heard it before...have a great Turdsday ;)
