I regret giving up music for football now did travel with bands as a body guard for a while so I get the audience taste not being consistent with the band , knew the guys were out of their element when they'd walk up and say "another request for Mack the Knife"

We once played a Moose Lodge and after finishing up a version of Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Song,' a guy came up and requested a 'cha cha.' He was referred to as Ricky Ricardo for the rest of the night.

Our drummer used to take care of the riff-raff. Usually he had to do nothing but stand up because of his size. Sometimes when he walked in the room before rehearsal the bass player would play the theme from 'The Munsters.' :snicker:

Yeah bud, I all about my Viking heratage

There was a piece of advice my Grandmother gave me, and my friends back when we were in Jr High School

If you want to pick up girls , don't be afraid to get on the dance floor

Girls love to dance , and any boy that's not afraid to get on the dance floor will never run short of girls who want to dance

And Grandmother was right , we were never lacking female companionship..................LOL

And now if you gentlemen will excuse me , I'm gonna go and dance with my wife

Had not heard this before. Good stuff. Dance all night. ha ha.

Saw the Electric Flag one Friday night at San Jose State. There was no stage and I sat right up front on the floor, close enough to touch guitarist Mike Bloomfield. Bloomfield is a guitar player that is not well known except by other musicians. He was phenomenal. At one point he said "I have to take a leak" and handed his guitar to singer Nick Gravenites who absolutely smoked on an instrumental they did next.

The Electric Flag had some great musicians in it including Buddy Miles on drums. Unfortunately both Bloomfield and Miles passed on at a young age.
