Jason Smith and GRob easily. They were both 2nd overall picks who turned out to be busts. Trung Canidate could make the list too. Klopfenstein. But he wasn't a first round pick.

Think about Linehan's first draft with the Rams. 4 picks in the top 77. Tye Hill. Joe Klopfenstein. Claude Wroten. Jon Alston. Not a decent player in that bunch.

So so many.

For me top two is Sam Bradford and Tavon Austin.

Really believed we finally had another franchise QB and that gadget player that could make exciting things happen.

It still stings.

Man there are some real disappointments listed.

I had high hopes for the fastest white dude ever... Eric Crouch. We drafted this Heisman Trophy winner in the 3rd round and his bitch ass fucking gave up in camp. That's bitchassness right there.

Bradford is up there too for me.

Would like to add Brian Quick also... Yikes.

Been having a discussion with a friend of mine about this, and just curious what ya'll's thoughts are on it. As the the thread title says: Who is your most disappointing Ram player of all time? Can of course be either a guy we signed in free agency, a guy we drafted, or one got via a trade. As the title says, feel free to post more than one player haha.

I will start:

Drew Bennett:After his breakout season with the Titans, I really thought we were getting a steal with him signing for us. Boy, was I wrong. Even before his knee injury, he was simply mediocre and not even close to being worth the money we were paying him, smh.

Robert Thomas: When we drafted him, I thought he would be our man in the middle for several years; loved his intangibles and all that. Alas, never really was that good for us, a huge bust.

(Dis)honorable Mentions:

Brian Leonard
Tye Hill
Jimmy Kennedy
It's a pretty long list, but I'd put Sam Bradford at the top. Really thought he would be a franchise QB. Had all the physical tools, but just didn't have the ability to process quickly, didn't have a killer instinct and, of course, the constant injuries.

The pick alone was a failure.

I gave much effort to hear that pick and was an immediate "WTF!" Had no idea who it was.

Such dark days.
That was the fubar trade with Denver and they got Jay Cutler and we got the 5ft 6 inch corner.... Such a deal!

That first Linehan draft was the first of a series of drafts that destroyed this franchise for the next decade.

Just adding this one. WR Denario Alexander.

Thought he'd be the next Randy Moss. Instead, the knee injury won out. Sad. Felt bad for him as he tried so hard to overcome it.

Well, considering Luther Burden III (one of the highest-rated receivers to ever join Mizzou) is a true junior this year, and could possibly come out after this season…you may have to trust a Mizzou receiver, Loyal. Reminds me of a faster and more mature Deebo coming out. 5’11, 215 lbs., 4.3 speed.

I think I have a video of him singing, "Rock Chalk, Jayhawk" around here somewhere....

I bet you four-hundred dollars you don’t - and I don’t even have four-hundred dollars.
