For me:

Good: Getting Klare at 61. Great movement skills, YAC machine. Could really dominate at F. Hoping he gets a full camp and even with the slow development at TE we get some good use out of him at F this year. This makes me think Fergy's future will be at Y next year.

Bad: Missing out on a top OL and pass catcher at 13. I didn't think we'd get Tyson or Tate at 13 but I was hopeful that one of Fano or Mauigua would drop to us (and I guess Proctor).

Ugly: Simpson at 13. I don't love the player but I can see the narrow lane for a bright future. I cannot stand the price we paid for him.

Good:
QB of the future (Simpson) is already on the roster and gets to sit and learn.
Tim Keenan III provides the team a legit backup on the nose

Bad:
Like WR CJ Daniels, but the WR I really wanted went two spots ahead of him.

Ugly:
Really wanted a return specialist and another pass rusher

If he HAS the aforementioned "bright future," the price, as you call it, will be irrelevant and forgotten.

Good: Getting Stafford's successor at an affordable price. If we waited until next year, we'd have to trade two or three 1sts to accomplish the same task. I have high hopes for Simpson.

Also good is getting Klare and the swing tackle.

Bad: I know I said the price for Simpson was affordable, but being greedy, I would have liked it to be cheaper. I'm putting our inability to make a modest trade down under the bad category. Our inability to draft some IOL depth is also bad. I'm not sure how we're gonna solve the pending free agency of both starting guards.

Ugly: Nothing.

Good: We got a versatile O-lineman that apparently rated high in run blocking, good foundation there. Klare seems to be a big addition to the pass game.

Bad: No real special teams return addition... Special fuck u to the Steelers

Ugly: Not being able to trade back and get more picks and then actually picking Simpson. Even though I don't like the pick, I'm also not going to dismiss that McCay and Snead typically do great. However I'll say I still think it was a horrible pick. I'll add an additional ugly for those that want to shut that opinion down. We all have different views on this and if I'm wrong, I'll be the happiest dumbass in the world hahahaha

Bonus: No matter my opinion, I'll root for Simpson and hope he's great.

Good: Klare, Trost, and Daniels were fucking awesome picks where they were. Keenan was a good pick in the seventh, and I've already come around on Simpson.

Bad: Fucking Broncos, I fucking hate them for popping Red Murdock with the very last pick.

Ugly: My initial reaction for the Simpson pick, and I apologize to everyone for my reaction; it was beneath me, and I will put my faith wholeheartedly in this pick.

Everyone can debate the GBU - all I know is we didn't add dynamic playmaking or speed, either of which could have been acquired at 13. Had another opportunity at 61 and took our 756th TE. I think all that qualifies as ugly. Can't say getting Simpson at a cheaper price than would have to be paid in '27 is good - we have to wait three years to know. But I'm going to HATE watching highlights of Bain, Lemon, Sadiq for those three years. I'd call that bad.

Good: We got the QB that we wanted and we didn’t have to suck for a year to get to pick high enough to get him. We invested in the tight end spot (which is a playmaker in this offense)

Bad: Our prospects are a bit under than I would have liked - but there is an upside to that as well.

Ugly: I watched on YouTube this year (cancelled network tv for a few months) and Mel Kiper’s kid was on the panel.

I get the desire for adding speed it's natural. But think about it for a second we had speed last year in Tutu. And what did we do? We went slower when Puka went out and Tutu didn't do a thing. Stop knocking the Rams for doing what McVay has shown us he wanted to do maybe?

Talk about bad? How about being negative and knocking the team because the guys that got us a Lombardi have a different opinion than you

Lemon at 13 instead of Simpson would have made this a very strong Rams' draft, in my opinion.

For me, it's less about not liking Simpson, as it is more about the lack of WR-depth.

Just don't see Nacua and Adams staying healthy all season.
If either goes down for a period of time (4-6 weeks or for the Playoffs), Stafford and the Rams' passing game (the Team's Strength) will suffer.

Lemon at 13 just seemed perfect. A legit weapon as the 3rd WR; and insurance in case of injury.

I get the thinking / strategy on Simpson; and I like his strengths a lot. But he is under-sized, with a limited number of games played. It's a risky strategy; and this was the highest pick the Rams had in a decade.

I am actually not a fan of an All-In-Mentality but I don't think drafting Lemon would have constituted All-In.
Just thought it was the Right and Obvious Move for the 2026 Rams, with a positive impact on the future.

But ... then again ... What the Fuck do I know?

Good: I like that they picked Simpson because I think he's a good scheme fit and it shows that McVay is thinking about life after Stafford. I also really like Klare's athletic skillset. He and Ferg could be a dynamic combo in the future.

Bad: I was hoping we'd address the lack of CB depth.

Ugly: We didn't bring in a return specialist. I think it's a huge benefit under the new kickoff rules, and obviously, X's fumble played a role in our loss to Seattle.

I don't think Lemon would adequately replace Adams or Nacua if they went down.

For all the hype I just think he is a darn good slot WR and would be great if the Rams were still heavy into 11 personnel.

Agree that Lemon has a different set of skills but I see an exceptional talent that McVay would be able to utilize very effectively, allowing the Rams' passing game to continue to perform at a high level.

However, replace Nacua or Adams with Whittington or Mumpfiled (I like both as 4th or 5th WRs), and the passing game becomes far less impactful ... and, the Rams' passing game is their strength.

Enter 13 personnel which thrived with only one of Adams or Nacua on the field.

Hopefully, a 2nd year jump from Ferguson and the addition of Klare who is basically a big WR makes it even better.

I think, in a perfect world, Whittington, Mumpfield and new guy Daniels are 4,,5, 6's. Which means we are on the lookout for at least a 3. I also think, in a perfect world, that Adams is a 3, which would mean we're on the lookout for a 2.

For these reasons i think we should fully investigate trying to acquire either A.J Brown, Brian Thomas, or any other Receivers out there acquirable via trade of 2027 Draft Capital.

I agree with most of this. We've always seem to find CB's through undrafted free agents so I'm not worried there....return specialist on the other hand
