I think Alec Pierce might be the guy.....it'll cost us probably $20 million per year, but he is the perfect compliment to Puka and Davante, and while our WR room would be expensive, the more I think about his fit here and the more excited I get. Unlikely that Davante stays past next year too
I've got a suspicion Davante may be around for however long Stafford is, unless his skills are significantly declining.

I may be alone, but I REALLY hope we don't trade a first for McDuffie. Sure, he'd be our best CB, but, I don't think he's was even the best CB on KC last year. And Watson is a free agent. Just sign him and also draft a young CB in the 1st. McDuffie is going to need a big new contract on top of trading high end draft stock for. Watson will just need the contract.

You'd have to think we are a very nice option for the top CB on the market. A Superbowl contender with a top notch front office. All we really lack is a good corner and he could be a star here.

Spotrac has Watson as market value AAV of $12.4m/yr. Probably not far off, or may be higher. I'd do that in a heart beat.
Trading for a CB is not my preference either, but I understand that it fits the Rams MO. They like to trade for vets at that position and they refrain from drafting it early. That's been the pattern for 9 years, which is sufficiently long to discern their values.

If we're going by Spotrac, they're not close to equal talents. McDuffie is projected to sign a $27.9mil/year contract, which reflects him being elite. McDuffie was the one who drew the top WR in KC.

Amen.
I’m a big fan of Allen, but that class was stacked and the Rams waited.
Ferguson was also drafted in a heavy TE draft.

Let’s not forget that the very first pick in the McVay era was a TE (everett). Clearly there’s a vision but I don’t know what they’re seeing.
I liked 1st year Everett much more than 1st year Fergs. Fergs has to put up quite a bit more (offensive) production to match Everett’s time here. Everett was TE2

I think this is a totally fair assessment but Fergy to me has a much much higher ceiling. Excited to see what he can do next year but totally get if people are underwhelmed.

Just get Kenyon Sidiq. He'll be All Pro in three years and with Ferguson at the other TE they can run 12 personnel full time. Puka and Adams will benefit. Draft a speed guy in R3 or R4 to develop, and make sure he can return kicks. You're welcome.

Yeah. Fergs is already a better blocker and (likely) teammate than Everett.

We’re not in dire need of blocking TE’s. Everyone here blocks.

If you had choice of Sidiq or Boston with the R1.29 pick who do you select?

He separates and is a hell of a nice athlete. But it seems like he's been hurt a lot.
