Wife's driving me home from the VA right now. Had a migraine starting day after Thanksgiving with facial numbness and after over a week the numbness was still there so I called my nurse and she directed me to the ER and they admitted me under the stroke protocol.

They have to do a basic neuro eval every two hours for the first 24. Ugh. Anyway, turns out after the scans it was likely a cluster headache or type of migraine and not a stroke. Woohoo.

And I'm going home. Now for the most dangerous part...Florida drivers...

That's good news, Mac. That it's not a stroke, anyway.

Thanks all. Yeah, stroke is no joke and I'm too young for that mess (47). Daily migraines are bad enough (that 12 day migraine wasn't all that much fun, come to think of it), but a stroke would ruin more than a day...

I blame Spags...

Very pleased to hear it was nothing extremely serious.

Call us to let us know you made it home safely.

Did the doctor recommend that you stop watching Rams Football?
Because that would probably reduce your visceral reactions exponentially.

And I'm home safe, thanks. Apparently I check out for a few guys and we got guys going over the wall? Whoever this IR guy is, we gotta cut him off. He can't have any more guys, dangit.

Actually, my wife's a really good driver and can parallel park anything first try. She used to shoehorn our Suburban into spots that I wouldn't even try.

Now ask me about her Hallmark movie binges and you may have something...

dude, I dont understand what that means?
Haha.
I am an old fart. Back in the day it seemed like there were weekly movies on Hallmark with one of those two actresses in them. Always the woman scorned sort of story.
After school special for adults is the perfect description of that channel by the way.
