The reason for my projection is I know Malcolm Brown can not be counted on. After the last two seasons when Gurley could not go, or he was in need of a rest Brown was not there for us he was injured too. Now if the Rams were to pick up a discarded veteran RB that would fit in this offense right before the season began that would be different.

Valid points almost makes you think of former Ram RB Lamar Gordon, who always looked good in practice, but when Marshall Faulk was hurt, so was Lamar Gordon.

I like Brown, liked him at Texas and he seem to be a nice fine and I was glad the Rams matched the Detroit Lions offer, however, @BonifayRam is on point that there have been too many times that Malcolm Brown has not answered the bell and if there is a training camp and preseason my hope is Brown will be ready in a contract year to prove his worth, which might work out well for both parties.

Seems to be another theme when you look across the new additions. At least 3 of them (outside of the QB's) have thrown TD passes in games before. Nice to have that little wrinkle if need be.

sure. I wonder why Bones is gone ??

Maybe this guy can run the wild cat as well ??

Right now he just an uDRFA, meaning he was not good enough to be drafted by an NFL team. Now you think he might throw a pass in the NFL.

I get & respect your point though. I just don’t see it happening this season.

as far a Kelly goes ? I found it curious Mcvay said nothing about him at all so he is basically gone. Now the thing will be about numbers.
I think The Rams only go with 3 RB’s ?? He will probably be a practice squad guy. Yes you are right he has the ability to throw a football that is cool. Exciting & fun plays.

Did see the Dolphins TD last season? I think it
Might have been the best & play last season in the NFL. The Eagles still made the Playoffs & Bones is with the sorry Cowboys. Cool thing about that Dolphins team is they beat BELACHEAT for his last regular season game with Brady Took them out of getting a bye week in the playoffs. Where they lost to Roger Saffold.

I see Malcom Brown coming off an injury & just needed extra time to be ready. I don’t think he will be a core special teams player in 2020.

Troy Aikman said Malcom Brown would be a starter on most NFL teams, but he is playing behind Todd Gurley.

Point being McSnead is confident in Brown even after the injury. The way The Rams are set up roster wise would mean The Rams only keep 3 RB’s on the roster. Predicting injury is Bonifay’s thing. Goes back to Saffold & Whitworth. Both players exceeded there contracts & are still getting paid top dollar. As far as a RB goes they have less tread & rely on there speed & legs.
Here is a cool Play by Brown & Troy Aikman commentating.

NFL.com not so glowing review. Maybe Jones goes on the practice squad.

I'm definitely no expert but the sample film on him kinda contradicts this dudes analysis. I'm the last guy to be a draft evaluator, but if ED approves, I'll take his opinion over some ham and egger who never strapped it up. I hope this guy surprises everyone and pushes Henderson.

I stated before that Malcolm Brown runs too hard for his own good. He has some bruising runs last year where he just bulldozed defenders. IDK if he can dial it back a little bit but it might help him stay healthy. He can run, block and catch the ball. Nice to have as a third running back and should finish his contract with the Rams this year.

Brown is the proven runner of the group. Anyone else on the team right now is behind him. He's tough and has stepped it up each year. Can he handle an entire workload? Not sure but that may not be what McVay wants out of him. Will the depth chart change from here to the start of the season? Possibly. Can't wait to see what Akers brings to the table.. but for now, don't forget about MB!

Jones seems like a great addition, too (thought he was smaller for some reason).

He's definitely proven that he can't be counted on to stay healthy.

I think Kelly is done. You do not stay on practice squad long. He will not make the 53 so they will go with someone younger for the practice squad. I would say Akers, Henderson and Brown are a 95% lock. Only possibility is if they need cap room they can cut Brown for minimal dead money and save 1.2 mil against cap.

He is a walking collection of bones & a injury waiting to happen!

lol & maybe found on a costume during Halloween. In any sense I like the change.
Is 3 kickers better than 1 ?? I just hope Mcvay let’s the players compete under the lights. Not having Noteboom & Allen get experience & win there starting position sucked.
I have to add cutting John Sullivan loose was a bad choice as well just from a leadership space.

What are your thoughts on X. Jones ?? I know John Kelly has not produced, and I don’t really know to think of his future. Mcvay has not brought his name up at all when talking about the RB’s & he is a start up HC.
