I wonder with how much the offense has changed if it doesn't hamstring Wolford. My guess is if - g-- forbid - something happened to Stafford, the entire offense would change - regress - back to what last year looked like. I don't know that having Wolford drop back or in the gun and not under center running play-action and boots is doing him any favors.

Clearly the league has good backups because there were 4 that won games today and 3 that actually played really well. We've also seen what a Nick Foles type can do for a playoff caliber team that loses it's franchise guy.

We could stand to upgrade or at least give Wolf some actual competition for the 2 spot next year. I don't think he's at the point in the career where he's safe enough to not even play like he did this preseason.

And no, I don't believe in Perkins at all.

1 good game dont make them good. That being said, I agree we can upgrade and I dont believe in Perkins either.

Well, I just think you need to put a little more into the QB back up position. Stafford hurt season over. Nothing we have now will get us to the SB.
Barring some one-in-a-million miracle run (i.e., Foles in 2017), there isn't a backup out there who can get this team to the Super Bowl if Stafford gets hurt. That's why I support drafting a QB. There's better odds we land a starting caliber QB via the Draft than we do via FA on a cheap contract.
