We've got some good tacklers in our starting secondary. They aren't guys who will look to take your head off except for maybe Ramsey, but fundamentally sound tacklers. Sort of the opposite of the G.Williams era.

Our secondary is stout. As is our dline. The question will be pass rush.
There's a great PFF article out there that talks about how secondaries lead to better sack numbers than pass rushing leads to good secondary play. Coverage sacks are far more reliable in their opinion. I think we have enough developing edge rushers (big fan of polite, okoronwko, and Lewis so maybe I'm biased) to generate pressure next to Donald.

I agree, I think every year there's some DE or OLB that looks like a stud, but you watch highlights & it's almost always a bunch of coverage sacks. Rarely do you see them just flat out beat the guy in front of them & get to the QB in 2.5 sec's. College highlights too -- when I see some guy who's supposedly a top rated draft pick, but I watch their highlights & see a bunch of unblocked sacks or coverage sacks, I figure there's someone in their secondary who's worth drafting more than they are.

This was a great pick, my favorite in this draft. The Rams now have a young, scary corp of safeties.

I'm not so sure the Rams are convinced Long can handle the slot. I know I really didn't see anything promising from him until almost the end of the season.

TB is gonna be lined up everywhere and the versatility that the Rams now have in their secondary is what modern day secondaries are gonna look like from here on out. It's the only way to combat the aerial assaults that have had very little resistance the last few seasons, except for a good pass rush.

IMO he's going to play CB with the Rams. I see him starting at slot CB this year. Also, if he plays up to expectations, he's insurance against not being able to extend Jalen. This team has it's safeties in Johnson and Rapp. They have depth at the position with Scott, Gervase, and now Fuller. Fuller needs to strengthen and work on his technique but I see him as depth behind Rapp. Scott and Gervase have the speed to play FS, so I see them behind Johnson.
