As unexciting as the pick was I am ok with it. We all wanted a tackle to learn behind Whit for at least one year... hopefully two. We needed depth regardless. I think if we had a first and second round pick and had already grabbed a couple of exciting players we'd all probably be like... "yeah, ok... this pick is good. Got to start filling that depth." But since it was the first one at all we all wanted that instant return. But in the long run, this looks like a smart pick.

Swing tackle is probably the most important offensive depth position next to OT. Added bonus that Noteboom has the size, upside, athleticism, and length to be a long-term OT.

Wade must be more satisfied with our LB'er corps than most of us realize, and while this pleases me, i'm still pretty sure we'll be adding more depth both outside and inside considering we have 8 draft picks between the 4'th & 6'th rounds. I still expect an OLB, an ILB, a Safety and more OL depth, we could even see a TE, RB, DT & QB, ... appears the entire draft will be more about depth than trading up for a potential immediate starter, looks like the real work was done during the free agency period. jmo.

I'm not convinced the Boomer pick is an endorsement for the Lber corp. Offensive lineman pending free agency, age and lack of depth made the pick a priority. I expect a committee approach to Edge/Outside Lber with one or two picks still to be added that will see playing time. Inside Lber with Barron, Littleton, Wilson and Hager is a little more secure this year yet still need to add for the future. I agree Rams will be looking to add more depth but, I expect competition for playing time at Edge Rusher.

Cool interview man. Good to hear him before any interviews after he is picked.

Very COOL! Like that he said he can play OT and OG. True swing offensive lineman,

I like the pick a lot. Think I had him mocked to the Rams in one of mine and in the ROD mock I took him for the Bears.

Yes I remember you picking him in the Mock and thought he had plenty of upside. What did we get for trading down ? I have been awol for the morning.

He's another pick by the Rams of a player who did well in the Senior Bowl practices. I suspect that the Rams focus on that because they get an idea about whether a player is quick to learn from new coaching. We know he's a developmental guy, with room to add muscle - if he's a smart guy who can be easily coached, they are likely excited about his future.

Les likes swinging for the fences with his first pick. Every Les Snead first pick has been a guy with elite tools and a lot of room to grow. This pick is no different. Snead typically balances his home run swings out with guys who are technically proficient and have alot of experience, so you get Aaron Donalds even if you whiff on Greg Robinson. With that said, he has evolved so much as GM and it is damn impressive. In his first few years, you could argue he took too many home run swings, but he's achieved more balance recently with great results. Have to appreciate the controlled aggression he operates with as a GM.

I think this guy mark my words will end up a Pro Bowl OT. 2 years ago I do not like this pick. With Kromer, Whit, Saffold and this regime? Hell yeah. Sign me up.

i can see what they mean when they say he has trouble staying on his blocks in the run game. nothing that can't be fixed with solid coaching.

.
Exactly. The talent, size and athleticism is there for sure. He will be a perfect project learning under Big Whit.Hell he helped teach and solidify or current O Linemen. I expect good things especially with Kromer to manage it all.
