I've had that exact same injury. The cure is simple. Immobilize the finger in the straight position. It takes a number of weeks to heal. If you don't immobilize the finger in a straight position is heals in that crooked position and you can't straighten that finger once it's healed. Whether he's going to be able to throw with his middle finger straight out is the problem. His grip won't be as good that is for sure.

IMO the way Geno Smith played would probably see him in that starting role until Wilson's finger heals.

Between this injury and the complete collapse of the Seahawks defense.. and the obvious mistake of trading for and paying Adams.. I think we're seeing the end of the Carroll/Schnieder era in Seattle.
Yes! And Russell Wilson will be asking for a trade next year. Rams win again!

Could happen.
Browns could decide waiting for Mayfield ain't worth it.. that would be a team that would make sense, if they could make the money work.
Washington would be really smart to go after him as well.. same with Miami.

Seattle could do a real reset... Wilson will turn 34 next season.. the window to get something for him is still open, but it's too late to do a rebuild around him, and they need a rebuild.

Adams is a huge liability in pass coverage. Might as well play him more like a LB and close to the LOS blitzing. Such a bad, dumb trade

Adams certainly looks one dimensional.
He always has been. A great box safety and a very dangerous chest piece to have on defense for blitzing but he is a big liability in coverage. Problem for Seattle now is they paid him a ton of money as a sack specialist but that's useless this season because their pass defense is so bad they can't use him for that because offenses are getting the ball out quick and easy.

Why would that be a win? We own Wilson and Pete. I dont want them getting a better situation than the dumpster fire they have now haha
I honestly think the only reason why the hawks are constantly in the playoff hunt is be because of Wilson. Not Pete. The hawks are a 4 win team without Russ. It's just a fact.

The Jamal Adams signing reminds me of the Percy Harvin signing, but on defense..

Adams has never been good in coverage. That has been common knowledge for a long time. Why Seattle paid him makes no sense.

That said they can release him if they want next year and split his dead cap over two years at about $8M/yr. Heavy but not crippling. They have their bridge QB in Smith so drafting a QB next year wouldn't be out of the question. But it's clear the Hawks need more than just a patch job, they need a complete rebuild. They have their HC prospect on board in Waldron.

When AZ fades as they always do in the late season both AZ and Seattle might be looking at coaching changes.

It’s called a mallet finger. The tendon that connects the last two bones on the finger is torn. It’s the tendon that keeps the tip of the finger straight. If torn, then the finger droops. Your right if the finger is put in a splint after the injury then it heals correctly. If you don’t splint the injured finger, it stays in the drooping position forever. Only surgery would correct then.

If you watch a retired Deacon Jones interview, he’s got like 2 or 3 mallet fingers. It’s a common injury.

I have a mallet finger and I can hold a football just fine. Of course my injury occurred over 30 years ago.

Fingers should never look like that...
