The Seahawks weren’t going to let Puka or Devante beat them in the end zone, they doubled them both. Someone else was going to have to try and win it. Colby had a potential td bounce off his hands, Ferg and Mumpfield couldn’t make contested catches. If we had a reliable #3 this offense could be even better. The rams were bad on 3rd down and Stafford had to try to force it into tight windows.
Mumpfield has gotten some of those reps but hasn’t impressed, Whittington? Ferg? Someone else? Be nice if they could return kicks too.

Signing Adams took our offense from "capable" to the best in the league. All you need is the right complimentary piece to change the entire dynamic for a defense. I think they need a YAC guy next. A guy who can make defenses second guess automatically prioritizing Puka and Adams in play calling situations. I think the Rams should draft Makai Lemon at 13 to be that guy.

Lets be real, on 4th down the Seacocks only rushed 2 people, dropping 9 into coverage. Knowing McVays tendencies is part of what lost us this game.

It's 2nd and 4, we run, get one yard, 3rd and 3 and we pass twice on the 5 yard with a chance to get the first down. If you know you're gonna go for it, why not run it twice to get the 1st, especially since they rushed 2 on 4th down. Even better you get a first down on the two yard line and you keep eating up clock, then you have another 4 downs to punch it in. Just mind boggling.

Anyways, I'm over it. We lost, so what.

Personally, I'd think about a guy who can be #2 as well; Davante isn't going to be here forever. I'd look real hard at acquiring one of the Packers receivers, whether it's Doubs in free agency or Wicks via trade.

If it it makes you feel any better JB Long was asked who he thought the Rams were going to draft early about a month ago, he said without hesitation a WR. Not sure what inside info he has but that was his immediate answer. Here are some names to consider.

That might have changed after watching Darnold, Williams, and Young torch this secondary. Not to mention very few pressures from our DL.

Absolutely this, Macdonald knew exactly what McVay was going to do and called the perfect defense to counter it. A ton of playcallers would have called another run there on third knowing we were going for it on fourth down. But McVay has a pass-happy tendency and it bit us in the ass.

one limitation of not having a mobile Qb - you are not afraid of him running it in if you drop everyone into coverage.

The Rams need to go WR with one of those picks in round 1.

Adams isn’t getting any faster. Puka has had injuries in the past. Atwell is good as gone.

The defense needs help with other picks and we have FA to solve some of this… but we need pass catchers.

Free agency will determine so much with that first round. Heck, maybe get a top WR in FA and that becomes a 2nd round (or 29) item. Or maybe we get a CB and the same - no longer necessary at 13.

Similar to last year when Alaric was resigned and Shelton was signed - OL went from mandatory to not at all.

I’ve seen Detroit call a qb draw in that situation and he can’t be much faster than Stafford. Also, the pass Ferg didn’t seem high enough and why not have Parkinson running that back line and just throw it up.

I don't see a #3 who can consistently get open yet. I'm concerned with Ferg in that regard. He always seems covered.

Ferguson will eventually become a true downfield threat. Not a burner, but few LBs can match his speed. But this team has needed more team speed for years. Snead has not chosen well with small speed guys (Tutu, Tavon Austin), and his affinity for drafting undersized backs who possess no real breakaway threat from Akers to Henderson to Williams and Corum. I suspect someone can be found on days two & three. They need a DB and maybe an edge guy with their first round picks.
