Adams downfield routes arent really a concern IMO, I truly believe they can fill those. His redzone TD's? Yeah that's the hole which is left behind, the only big body types to take those snaps are the TE's
I - for one - am concerned about not having him on downfield routes. His work outside the numbers and on in breakers in dagger and on the backside are a huge part of this offense.

I think we'll survive but I expect the same kind of disruption to our productivity on offense as we've seen with our defense when we lost Lake.

I expect the rate that Puka is doubled or bracketed to increase substantially while he's out too.

Excited though to see what Mumpfield can provide with a few more snaps though and expect a platoon on him, Whittington, Xavier and Tutu in 13, 12 and 11 sets though I don't love any of them split out at X.

I know they didn't do great against Seattle with 13 personnel last time.. but I still think that may be the answer *and* a bigger commitment to the run game for this week.
Thinking/hoping it will be a lower-scoring game and a grind-it-out type matchup.

I could be way off.. and the answer might just be spreading the ball all around more. We'll see.

Tutu and the TE room. Would love to have both Tutu and Smith out there, take the top off!!

If Adams was in the lineup I would not have been surprised for them to go way more 11 personnel this week as I think Seattle's one of the few teams that can match Rams 13 well with sub packages so it's less effective. But with Adams out - while 13 still won't be as dominate - it might still be our best grouping regardless.

There's a world though where Rams go 12/11 more with some mix and match with guys like Tutu to soften the shell that Seattle will run and get them to back off the line a little.

With a defense as good as Seattle, this game will be won on the margins, a snap or two more or less here or there in certain personnel groupings, perhaps 13 run where Parkinson is out wide giving a guy like Puka a free release in the slot (see one of the huge gainers for Puka last game).

Players will have to make plays this game as Seattle is too good to consistently win in out scheming them.

McVay will adjust with Puka getting some more snaps and the other WRs, including Tutu. Feguson could see increased targets as he is now more part of the offense than earlier in the season.

I am assuming he is out for the rest of the regular season at least.

When Nacua was out they seemed to use Parkinson outside mostly. I don't have confidence in Atwell.

I am not sure Whittington is the answer.
I don't think we have much choice: Tutu will have to step up and take a larger role.

Parkinson should be used in the way that he already is - inline blocking and sneaking out as a pass option. He's not a mismatch on the outside.

Whit can function as a poor man Nacua but he doesn't have the skill set to replace Adams.

It's really Atwell or make changes to the offense.

The biggest place we'll miss Adams is in the RZ. But Puka will cover some of that loss. I expect McVay to continue running a lot of 13 personnel down there with Puka as the outside receiver in Adams' place.

Tu Tu won't do them much good in the red zone and that's obviously where Adam's makes his beans. IMO, it's all on the TE's (12 & 13 personel) until Adams return, that is IF he returns. To be honest, I don't understand why they used Adams between the 20's when he had been nursing that hammy all week. It seems limiting him to short routes in the red zone would have put less stress on his leg. As for Tu Tu, good luck on finding him in the EZ, we've already seen the lack of red zone TD production earlier in the season.
How about running the damn ball in :laugh2:

Honestly, Seattle had issues with 11 personnel last game. They can match up with 13, but not perhaps as well against 11. I wouldn’t be surprised to see 11 personnel except on short yardage plays.

Like us, Seattle’s defense is tired, let’s make them work by chasing down our receivers and continuing to run the ball well.

I agree with you overall, but really feel the Seahawks really shut down the 13 personnel for the Rams. That is (obviously) the game that REALLY matters.
I don't want to take anything away from Seattle's defense because it's legit, but I feel part of the Rams' struggles against them was because Stafford was just off.

Stafford occasionally has games where even when there isn't crazy pressure, he misses throws. I thought the entire Lions game was going to be like that, but fortunately he pulled it together.

Devante is a great player. I hope he gets better REAL soon.

I think this team is good enough to bring us the distance without him if need be.

All around, we are pretty stacked offensively this year.

Part of me agrees.... But when Stafford and Adam's are on the same page, we are impossible to beat.
