You HAVE TO kick the FG there. No excuses. This is on McVay.
Not so sure about that with over 3 minutes to play.
Another reason why I don’t like the new KO rules. Another botched kick and the ball is getting placed at the 35 or 40.
Too risky, IMO.

Just get the fucking yard! A championship team runs that ball right down their throats and finally makes the statement, “We’re better than you.”

Look we can all talk about what could have been. But at the end of the day we lost to a backup qb, to 3rd and 4th string receivers and had no defensive plan for CMC - their only offensive weapon. This defensive plan was an absolute JOKE! Outside of Warner and Lenoir, who the fuck do the 49ers have on defense? No clue. But we lost. This is a complete loss on the Rams. Outcoached as ALWAYS against Rat Boy.
It appears that they went into this thinking that Jones would not be able to sustain drives so just don't give up the big play. So they gave up the underneath crap. Fine, but then adjust once it was obviously shown to be a flawed plan.

Our special teams unit has been historically bad. Blocked kicks in 3/5 games. Fire Blackburn and get someone in here who can teach some fucking fundamentals.

A lot of blame to go around. My glass half full take is that we seem to always fuck around and lose stupid games in the first half of seasons and play better in the second half of season. Hopefully we can take care of business against Ravens.

Coaching, offense, defense, special teams. It was a team effort.

Take some time and fix the FG blocking.

Take even more time and get some gotta have 1 yd plays that work.

It goes to show you how much football is a team game. There is a lot of blame to be shared, from coaching to the players. The Rams need to find a way to get a yard on 3rd and 4th downs. Stafford's quarterback sneak isn't the answer. Williams should have protected the ball at all costs on 1st and goal from inside the 5-yard line. It has 4 shots at a TD.

Shula really screwed the pooch with his game plan.

Soft zone most of the night and Jones threw short over the middle in front of the linebackers all night long.
You have a hobbled Jones yet you sit back in a soft zone all night. I could have completed most of those throws Jones made. Most were less than ten yards through the air. Pathetic.

What the hell are you even talking about Ari? That is never a fumble! Forward progress was stopped, ball was fumbled well after the runner was being driven back. 100% correct call by the officials.

The officials didn’t lose this game for the Rams, we crapped the bed. Lack of a defensive game plan, poor tackling, multiple dropped passes, two fumbles, blocked FG and XP, poor play call on 4th and 1.

Why is it we can’t ever stop anyone on fourth and short but everyone can stop us?

I still don't think the play call is that bad. Heavily injured defensive line. A RB that is held out as being worth this big contract we gave him. Get the 1 yard. O-line and KW both looked useless. If we didn't call a simple run play, and failed to convert, everyone would have been screaming "JUST HAND IT OFF". Players have to executed.
It was the fact that it went to the right where 10 guys on both teams were clogging the field.

If they had run to the left with I forget who was running accross going to the left side instead of the right side, Williams makes that first down. Look at the play from up top that someone posted. There were too many fricken guys on the right side and only two on the left side.

Couldn’t agree more though. It sort of starts with SEAN MCVAY though.

Hate to say it,SO therefore I wouldn’t. Actually I guess I will have to at the END of Regulation!!

WTF ? I say it from a mentality point of view.Your on The 2 Yard Line with 1:07 left in the game.Rat Boy calls a T.O. Why coming out of that T.O. Are YOU not saying we’re going to WIN this game !!!!!

He should’ve been like let’s PUNCH it IN !!! It’s a mind set,and sometimes the passive way isn’t the best.He came out of the T.O. trying to draw the niners offsides.
IMO you have already COMMITTED!

GO FOR IT!! It’s won in the TRENCHES!!! Saying that he still lead the ship to VICTORY!!

It was a tough loss & a lot of BLAME!! Then again what a
EFFORT from this TEAM as Always in The END !!!

Go Rams this is going to be another tough season.

My Fantasy Team has 4 Rams. The defense & Karty didn’t hold up that good.

The Rams defense 1 point

Karty had 5 which is just average.

Tiki Barber and Adrian Peterson both had major major fumble problems early in their careers and they ultimately got it fixed. Hopefully Kyren can do the same.
After they were in the league for 7 years or so, not by their 4th

Kyren got whacked in the head and should have been a penalty.
Rams couldnt stop the 49ers 4th string offense all game, more blocked/missed kicks. Kart makes either the FG or the XP and the Rams win the game.
Kyren goes for 130 yards and 2 TD and ends up being the goat. What a world

Looking back, it is absurd how many things had to go right for the 49ers and wrong for us for them to win:
  • Kyren fumbling the game away at the one yard line
  • Kyren and Whittington dropping back to back passes right before we missed the FG
  • Karty missing the FG (and the bad snap on the attempt)
  • The PAT getting blocked
  • Pineiro doinking the ball in, instead of out
  • Stewart dropping the INT that hit him right in the hands
  • Corum dropping a pitch that hit him right in the hands
  • Refs ruling that forward progress was stopped much more quickly than normal on a play where we stripped it and returned it for a TD.
If any one of those plays goes differently, we win. And we should have won given the talent disparity. Infuriating. I'll also say that Shula has generally done a great job with defensive gameplans and adjustments. He did not do that last night.

Numerous ways to fix 4th and 1 and if you think about it, it’s currently the X factor holding us back. Besides the obvious fumbles.

But fullback, QB sneak with a backup QB etc.

After a sleepless night , I think it’s time for me to take a long break from posting on here. Life is too short to get this worked up over a football team. I’ll still donate and read your posts , but I’m just sick of living and dying with this team. They simply can’t play a complete game without making big mistakes, or being flat for a quarter or two. Stafford played his ass off last night , all for not. We are going to have a hard time even getting to the playoffs , with the schedule ahead of us. The whiners do the same thing on offense every game , and we don’t make the proper adjustments. Mind numbing loss to an inferior team. Good luck the rest of the way guys. I’ll still be watching , but for my own sanity and health I’m out. One more thing
Fuck the Whiners and their fans.

The kickoffs, which were so incredible against Philly, were pedestrian at best last night one time giving San Fran the ball at the 40. i dont know what more a ST coach would need to do in order to get fired. missing/blocked FG/XP, penalty negating big punt return.
