Let's say you have an option to move down to 21 (Pittsburgh) for a pair of 3rd round picks (they have three). Who would have to be there for you at 13 to decline the offer?

Styles?
Tyson?
Tate?
Downs?
Lemon?
Delane?

For me, I think it is only Tate or Styles. And I don't expect either to be there.

Trade down, grab Omar Cooper Jr., use one of the thirds to trade up in the second to grab LB Jacob Rodriguez, and then use the two thirds to pick up a corner and a swing tackle.

Long story short: I can't wait for the draft to get here.
Probably Styles and Delane. I would have been all on board with Downs too, but, resigning Curl kind of shuts that down for me. Since I seriously doubt either with still be on the board, I'd be all over a trade to 21. Hell, I could even be on board with Simpson at 21 if the Rams love him. A trade down for Cooper would be a fantastic move. Your idea of Rodriguez would be great as well. An absolute robbery if we somehow managed to trade up for Ponds also.

I'd take Boston at 13.

Lemon does not factor in. We don't need redundancy in the slot. We need a third kind of heat.

Delane would give me pause, admittedly. But I think we're a stronger team if we take Boston. He would year one boost our redzone threat and 4 minute down the sideline.

I suspect McVay wants Tyson though. Tyson is on a different level in his separation, but also offers the X role to make the offense stronger outside the hash.

There's also a chance they're thinking Freeling if he's there. Because I think Freeling will be a LT in the NFL.

Not sure on that, have to watch more of him. I like Cooper better.
Cooper is excellent. But he has different strengths from Boston. He is more of what we already have in being a smooth and polished route runner. Definite McVay type wideout. We just have a better version of him in Puka, who is bigger as well.

I don't want another slot dude who looks like he came out of a McVay wideout factory. I want a big frame target outside the hash who has great hands, for Stafford to high point in the redzone or feed down the sideline in four minute.

If they don't get that early in the draft there are some guys who slot off the board later who can potentially deliver it. But Boston just has it all. And I'm not concerned about mocks people are seeing with him going off the board in round 2 as I doubt that's going to happen. He's Mr. Automatic out there with size. Dude won't last long on the board.

100%

I’m seeing mocks with Boston in the second round, falling from the late first. No way am I taking him at 13. He’s not worth that. Tate, Lemon, and Tyson are the only top 15 worthy WRs
I'd take Cooper Jr. over all of them.

But, surprisingly enough I just watched a PFF Draft video where Cooper Jr. didn't even make it to #13.

I think there are multiple wideouts in this class who might go off earlier than they're commonly slotted. Cooper is a great looking prospect but when you talk about the guys up top usually they require something difficult to find from that supply/demand perspective. He doesn't have rare size, rare speed, rare hands, etc. Rather he's a guy whose value is in the combination of very good traits.

But in the end the wideouts go off the board based on what teams are looking for to some extent. And there's a lot of difference in their roles so of course anything can happen.

Five years from now though who will be the top receivers from this class. Cooper might be one of them, certainly, particularly if he goes to a team with a good QB and they play him in the slot. But he doesn't look like a top ten dude to me, probably more a 20s type at best if you are looking for an off-LOS chain mover. I think his rise has more to do with Lemon being rumored to be dropping on team boards due to his combine interviews. And Cooper may be preferred by some teams over Concepcion due to hands advantage, where Concepcion's weakness is the drops. But I don't see a ton of difference in Lemon vs Cooper vs Conception. And maybe a couple others tbh.

Why is the Cowboys team doctor performing surgery on draft prospects?
Seems anytime a surgery on a football player is mentioned it seems that either the Cowboys doctor or the Rams Neal ElAttrache is mentioned.

Weird that he refuses to run the 40. I'd draw a negative inference from that. Of course, the film is what matters in the end.
Huge mistake. He should be going out of his way right now to elevate himself. Some of these kids man, gotta wonder wtf whether it's their agents or the player just being stupid.

Or maybe they're being smart. Boston's speed has been talked about for quite a while as possible issue. Why run poorly (and they knew he'd run poorly, why else not run) and hurt your stock. Let the teams use incomplete data to make their decisions.

Would not be shocked if teams have him lower on their boards already than what some prognosticators have. Of course, there have been guys like him that have overcome the speed issue, but those are the exception to the rule - especially if his height will let him win vertically in the NFL.

Edit: I have to guess since he was projected to run 4.52-.54ish he would have run 4.6. Rams should have some GPS on him hopefully. For contrast, Puka ran a 4.57 40 and wins by bodying folks till last year when his route running really took off.

The question is: is Boston Keon Coleman or a DeAndre Hopkins?

I know that I’m several cells short of having a complete truly working brain, but hear me out.
If Tate, Lemon, and cooper have already selected by the time the Rams get to pick, then why not select Sadiq? He can play TE, WR, and RB. He has the hands, the blocking ability, the speed, and would give CBs nightmares.

I would be good with Sadiq

Neal ElAttrache is the Rams' lead physician and senior orthopedic surgeon.
He performs surgery on all types of athletes, including NFL players from other teams.

Daniel Cooper is apparently another top guy. It was reported that he provided an opinion on Maxx Crosby to the Ravens that was a factor in their decision to back-out of the trade with Las Vegas.

These doctors are not solely employees of teams. They are independent surgeons. Their team affiliations would favorably impact their reputations and credentials, leading to greater notoriety ... and ... of course ... more of the "do-re-mi"

If we draft Tyson you're going to watch every game wincing when he is on the field and crossing your fingers he stays healthy. Talent is undeniable but so are the injury concerns.
Rams fans should be used to that. Puka gets nicked up every other game and Kupp was that way too lol.....draft Tyson ya scary summa bishes lol

In a normal year there's usually a cutoff point where the rumors say there's XX first round picks, after which there's a bit of a cliff in quality dropoff. Last year's draft for example the rumors I saw were 15. This year I've heard that number is 11, and of that supposed 11 there's guys like Mauigoa who has short arms, or McCoy with the knee injury, or Bain with short arms, or Downs with a rumored medical condition, or Lemon with rumored poor interviews as well as one weird fuckin podium moment.

So I think it's possible we could be in for a wild west day one draft night.
