I’m in the minority on this one, but I hope the iggles lose to the Seahawks.
If that happens, Rams control their own destiny to earn a first-round bye.
If Seahawks lose, we have an extra cushion for winning the Division and locking up the #3 seed. But if Iggles lose, we have a greater chance for a #1 or #2 seed and a serious run at the Lombardi.
I looked up some numbers based on seeding, and:
#1or #2 seed has won the SB 28 times.
#3 or #4 seed has won the SB 6 times.
#5 or #6 seed has won the SB 3 times.
My point is, I’d rather go “all-in” and hope we can steal the #1 or #2 seed from the Iggles, as opposed to hoping we can clinch the #3 seed from the Hawks.
Lastly— even if Hawks beat the Eagles, the Rams still control their own fate in the division.
Hawks; Hawks Hawks! I want the Hawks to kick the crap out of 'em and soften them up for the Rams. So, I am thinking like you XXXIVwin.
If the Eagles get rolled by the Hawks, then get knocked for a second consecutive loss...guess what? They're 10-3 and Rams are 10-3; and Rams jump ahead of them in the seedings.
So, screw the division. Who were the division winners last year? Everyone remembers the Super Bowl winner though. Rams need to take care of business and win the division themselves. I'm for winning the Super Bowl, not the division. A Hawks win puts the Rams in contention for the #1 or #2 Seed. Let's go get it! Look at the stats above. Almost 50% chance to get in the Super Bowl if seeded #1 or #2.
Go Hawks!!! Die Eagles Die!!!1
