Can you guys imagine the media storm if we win this week the Eagles lose to the Seahawks. We beat the Eagles in our head to head match up!?

That game in Seattle just becomes huge and center of the Football world.

There would be a sports media storm with us at the center of it for 2-3 weeks!

I’m rooting for an Eagles loss, and then we whoop the Seahawks to clinch the division and become the 2 seed!

I know a Seahawks loss helps us more but f it. Let’s go for the jack pot and a nfc title gane full of revenge in Minnesota! Can’t write it any better than that!
Very tempting scenario Corbin. I would add one thing: don’t assume the meeting with a Minnesota would be in Minnesota. The Case Keenum bubble may pop and they could drop a couple games easily. We are not out of reach of the #1 seed.

I'm rooting for the Eagles. We need a bigger cushion on the division. I'm not in the business of media hype and attention, I'd rather clinch an early playoff berth and relax.

I very much agree bro! But in my scenario that is worse case possible in my eyes! lol They better pray they don't have to head to L.A. for a game!

I have grown to hate the Eagles, due in large part to on-air Eagle blowhards. I want them to lose every game because it might help us with playoff seed position, and....because I want Eagles fans to cry so that my trolling of them is more effective.

We all hate the Hawks for obvious reasons. We have a better team this year, but RW is the Wild Card. Dude will not stay still so Quinn and Donald can destroy him in games. IF the Rams beat the Cards and the Iggles show they can beat a winning team (only one win against a winner this year) vs the Hawks, the Rams are up two games. after next Sunday.

We really can't lose in a way, as long as the Rams take care of the Cards.

No brainer - Rams need to win our division period. I will be rooting for the Eagles big time.

Im rooting for eagles but if hawks win im going to focus on the bright side, we control destiny (mostly) for a 1 or 2 seed.

Sidenote, I put this scenario on ESPN playoff sim and it puts as 3rd seed with Eagles at 1 and Minny at 2 (13-3 records for all 3 of us)

Any idea why? Shouldn't we be second if we beat Philly?

No, cuz min beat us. 3 way tie goes to conf record as first tiebreaker. (Unless one team beat BOTH the other two).

I change my mind: I want Seattle to beat the Eagles

IF, IF, IF we beat the Eagles and we win out, we would have the #1 or #2 seed and have a 2 week rest.....

Life is about taking good risks.
We will win the division I believe (now, after the Saints game). We can beat Seattle in Seattle....I think the Titans will be a tougher game for us.

Russy Wilson is the Houdini of the NFL, so if Seattle wins out I wouldn't be so utterly shocked....but history tells us that a bad O line and missing 2 pro bowl DBs will get you 1-2 losses in the last 5 games.
THey got Eagles, Jags and Rams....that is 2 very physical game before they play the Rams....that should ripen them up a bit....even Dallas could beat them with Zeke back.

I think it helps to listen to Hawk sports radio for a while, and you'll switch back to wanting the Hawks to lose. I hate them bastids...I just want them to wear the Iggles out, so the Rams can steamroll them the following week....I now want the Hawks to be eliminated when we play them....I want celebrations in front of the 12th man after every tackle, let alone after each of the 6 TD's ...lol

If Hawks beat Eagles, Rams control their destiny for a first round bye. If Eagles beat Hawks, Rams still need help. Period.

To be honest i'm not sure i want the Rams to get a bye and play at home. I like the extra week rest (although this team is young)...but i LOVE this team on the road vs at the Coliseum. There...i said it.

I thnk I'd rather have McVay studying film for an extra week, coming up with the most killer offensive game plan ever conceived, which the bye provides...but that's just me.

That's a legit point. I just don't really like the comfort factor at home with this team yet. Or the field.

The path to the Super Bowl is so much different for a #2 seed as opposed to a #3 seed.

If Rams are #3 seed, they would have to play a tough team at the Coliseum (Falcons? Panthers?), then play a hugely tough game AT minn or philly, then probably play ANOTHER hugely tough road game AT minn or philly.

HOWEVER...

If Rams are #2 seed, Rams get an extra week to rest and heal up, and McVay and staff get a whole extra week to prepare. One win and boom, they’re in the NFC championship game.

IMHO, there is only a slight advantage for #1 seed over # 2 seed. And only a slight advantage for #3 seed over #4 seed. But the difference between #2 and # 3 is HUGE.

Yeah i get all that believe me, but as i stated in my post i think this team plays better on the road, and i don't think our homefield advantage is nearly as "advantageous" as other teams who clearly benefit from being top seeded.

I used to think Mary Ann was hotter, but now that I'm watching the re-runs with my kids, I'm kind of digging on Ginger.
Do you know what's better than one or the other?
Both.
Picture this. I just found out Jane Mansfield was supposed to play Ginger, but she turned down the part!

Eagles can tie NFL record with fifth straight 20-point win

The Eagles aren’t just winning, they’re blowing their opponents out. And they can tie an NFL record if they do it again on Sunday night.

If the Eagles beat the Seahawks by 20 points or more, it will be their fifth consecutive 20-point victory. That would tie an NFL record.

The last team to win five consecutive games by 20 points or more was the 1999 “Greatest Show on Turf” St. Louis Rams. The Eagles have beaten the Bears 31-3, the Cowboys 37-9, the Broncos 51-23 and the 49ers 33-10 over their last four games.

In addition to the 1999 Rams, four other teams in NFL or AFL history have won five straight games by 20 or more points: The 1961 Packers, the 1961 Houston Oilers, the 1953 Eagles and the 1949 Eagles.

Id like them to tie - or I'd like the Eagles to win in a bloody - last second of overtime - brawl filled, upcoming suspension laden slug fest.

Love it....as long as the Iggles win.

I just watched Heath Evans explain how the Hawks and the Rams would tie at 11-5 and because the Hawks swept the Rams, they win the NFC West...FUUUUU...KKKKK NO! As long as the Iggles go 14-2 or less, that's ok.....The Hawks have to go down in flames....THIS MUST HAPPEN!
