Who do I think?
- Freeman
Who do I want?
- Evans
Who's the dark horse to break a long run and do nothing else?
- Hendo (who's not even in game shape, hasn't been on a roster)
This should be added as an option to vote for.

If Evans isn't ready we better hope the OL holds up in pass pro. Because Evans is the only one with a chance to take over this game.Gentlemen I disagree. Evans is a work in progress in pass protection and that is priority one at this juncture. FWIW, it is what most backs struggle with coming out of college, however, Kyren Williams rated the best in his draft class in pass pro plus Freeman & Henderson are very good.
Meh.Not a good look for Evans if he got passed up by 2 other dudes.
Not really, you know that is not true. You have to find the right guy to block, if you zig instead of zag, the QB is toast. Now, yes you have to bloody your nose, but having a feel and being able to pick up the right guy is more then 20%.Also re: RB pass protection 80% of it is give-a-fuck, the willingness to put yourself in there. Because Stafford often assigns them and will do that today.
I agree.I mean… I hope Evans gets in the game. I like his potential.
I could just understand if with a teaM like the Steelers that pass pro took precedence.
Steelers haven’t been good against the run or pass… so maybe they’re just focusing on the pass game.
This right hereNot really, you know that is not true. You have to find the right guy to block, if you zig instead of zag, the QB is toast. Now, yes you have to bloody your nose, but having a feel and being able to pick up the right guy is more then 20%.
Deff not far apart on opinions, brother. Just hoping we strike gold again with this draft class. I wasn't a fan of the pick considering Akers had fumbling issues, but the way he runs reminds me alot of Gurley, so if we could capitalize on that potential...I'm just not that disappointed or too surprised. You said "a little disappointing", so it's not like we're really that far apart here.
Henderson was on the street.. but we've seen multiple backs come off the couch to be productive... including CJ Anderson.
Whatever some may have considered Evans, he is a 6th round draft pick with little/no game experience. I don't see the decision as being a judgement on his potential or running ability, I see the Rams as being much more worried about Stafford's health than anything else.
QB health is absolutely paramount.
It absolutely is true Den. Admittedly 80% is going a bit far but most of it is willingness to put your head in there. The rest is knowing the protection calls, however once again Stafford routinely tells the RB where to line up pre-snap and which is his gap. He even does this with Williams. Not really, you know that is not true. You have to find the right guy to block, if you zig instead of zag, the QB is toast. Now, yes you have to bloody your nose, but having a feel and being able to pick up the right guy is more then 20%.
I am just playing around as I always do when I am pretending to be voicing a player or coach.Notice I said Zach's production "remains to be seen" and also "may surprise"....IOW I left room for myself to be wrong about it. Indeed, Zach could do very well...but likewise, Hendo could do very well too. If that be the case, it's all the better. Whichever way it goes...JUST WIN!!!
Sko is questionable with an Achilles, so not the week to run him into a wall.Pipe dream, but I'm hoping to see some of Skow lined up as a FB/IB
Most fans think this way but that is not a given just based on McVay calling runs. The OL has to execute and so do the RBs.And the Steelers have a terrible run D, so all McVay needs to remember is to stick with a balanced attack In order to be very successful today.
So far so good. The Rams are going to roll with Royce.Don’t know why I’m thinking Royce Freeman steps up today!
