Good points all.

However, that was 9 years ago. How much longer do you think McVay will coach? Is he willing to invest in the learning curve of 2 years or so before considering a Super Bowl run?
He was in the SB in his 2nd year with Goff, playoffs in their first year together. What learning curve?

McVay looks like he is loving life right now. He has Stafford for two more years, but needs an heir apparent. I’m confident he’ll get a Super Bowl in the next two years with Stafford. I’m also confident that won’t be enough so I believe he goes until he gets the third Super Bowl or until he turns 45 and reflects on his next chapter in life.

He's the 4th youngest Head Coach in the NFL at 39. He aint going anywhere

Do you figure him to take a rookie qb to the Super Bowl and win? If not, then we're talking about 2 years minimum. Will McVay coach that long? Honest question.

Especially if the Rams win the Super Bowl this year.

I hope you're right. But remember thet last Super Bowl victory; it had everyone pondering retirement while on top.

Will Stafford want more? Will McVay be ready to start over if Stafford retires?

You think whoever replaces Stafford is required to win the SB in their first year?
Of course not

Just read a way-too-early 2026 mock that had the Rams doing the following in the 1st round:

#11 (from the Falcons): Cade Klubnik QB
#27 Caleb Lomu OT

Waddya think?

I totally agree!
Snead has made comments about developing a young QB as well.
Getting that 5 year contract for a 1st round pick is much easier on the salary cap when extending out the current young stars
I'll always wonder what the Rams would have done had Dart been on the board. Alas, all the debate in the world wont change what the Rams ultimately decide to do
I know we disagreed on Dart during the run up to the draft but I'm really intrigued to see what he will show this year (I'm assuming he has to start at some point) and next given the makeup of the Giants and coming from his college system.

Super intriguing storyline no matter what happens.

Honestly, if Drake Maye is a legitimate option, he'd be my first choice. But if we had to go through the 2026 draft, LaNorris Sellers would be my choice. I don't trust Nussmeier or Allar, I'll be honest; they're way too inconsistent game-to-game, throw-to-throw.
No way Patriots are giving up on Maye. I'd make that trade in a heartbeat.
