this is not even close to how this draft will go but how I would like it to go. pick 52 Cleveland, pick57 Hennessey pick 84 john Hightower pick 104 zack moss. now barring complete bust or career ending injury the offence should be taken care of for the next 3 years. then take the rest of this draft and next years draft for nothing but df and to replace busts and career ending injury's on offence.

Awesome detailed post Merlin . Loved reading that.

what I’m so interested is seeing is if there are both OT and OC on board that are rated high by the Rams - which way they go. Which position to they feel is in more need? Are they thinking immediate or LT. That’s a fascinating topic imho. I wish I knew what they were thinking. Heck, maybe it’s neither and they go elsewhere.

That would be quite the get. My guess is that Higgins is off the board within the first few picks.
I wonder if the ankle and not having team doc able to look at it will allow him to slip further than we know

S: McKinney > Delpit > Winfield > Chinn. The safety group is untouched which is nuts, but it's an undervalued group compared to the others so not a big surprise in this loaded draft. Talent on the board right now is outstanding and probably right there with RB which means teams are gonna hit it hard tonight. What is interesting here too is Staley. Fangio likes to keep his safeties deep and helping over the top. What does he think of JJ and Rapp in their roles? Do the Rams plan to let JJ walk in FA? Lot of moving parts AND they need a sub safety to replace Christian. People don't get excited about safeties but there's some serious talent here right now. Most interesting of all is the upside too with Chinn. IMO he could impact our sub packages immediately with size/length/speeeeed and transition into bigger things when JJ leaves. Oh and the SS types run strong in this class btw so trade downs look good here as well.

I liked your analysis, although I disagree with a few of the rankings of your "desired" players - but we all have our opinions so who cares? But I really like the Safety class. It wouldn't surprise me to see Chinn as the pick, and I'm good with that.

You'd hear no complaints from me if the Rams go OL round 2. It would surprise me to see both used but yeah I would get behind that quicklike and in a hurry.

Goff is the centerpiece of our offense as we transition to a RB by committee so yeah I'm all for OL. Then some linebackers round 3 and a RB round 4 and we're in business.

The Rams will pass on offense in the second round and concentrate on the defensive side of the ball.

Edge rusher: Uche
Highest rated CB: Diggs or Fulton

I would guess they prioritize LT. This is based on 4 cornerstone positions (LT, QB, Blindside Edge, CB1). Right now to my eye the Rams have only QB and CB1 covered because of Whit's age.

We'll have to see if the unexpected happens again. Picks keep going off the board and everybody's favorites
are still sitting there. The cheers are running wild, our guy is still there!
Then the Rams either trade down or pick someone else.
