Poor teams picking him doesn't change how most people feel he should be treated and coached and I don't let that influence my opinion of the player he is. If he is forced to start early on a bad team then he is very very unlikely to succeed and people like you will pat yourselves on your back because a bad team ruined a player with the potential to be good.QBs who go high in the draft often start right away. The sheer value of the higher picks drives that, as does the poor quality of teams who typically select high.
The funny thing about all of this is I don't really think the Rams draft him at 13 nor do I push for them to do so. But I see a guy who had some very good games before the OLine fell apart, the run game completely disappeared and his main WR went MIA. No QB those last few games would have done more than him.
