No cap, no lie, no blue font, they absolutely can.

All major sporting leagues can force the sale of a franchise for "conduct unbecoming" as defined in their franchise agreements.

There have been a few teams over the years when a team wasn't being run well and the league, quietly or otherwise, sent messages that "get right or we force a sale"
if Georgia F. wasn't replaced gotta think Detroit owners safe

If it hasnt happened in Washington, it surely wont happen in Houston. Irsay was a trainwreck in Indy, no force out there. Only team I can recall being force sold was the Dodgers, that whole McCourt sitch was a total mess.
For an NFL team to be sold due to gross incompetence? Man, Cleveland would have been sold on an annual basis. Lol

Big difference between being a racist and poorly managing the finances of a team though.

All true.

My point was that the NFL has stepped up at least when it came to the finances. I think that's why teams at the bottom keep hiring and firing coaches and GMs.

Honestly, not sure that Bob/Cal McNair aren't just as bad as Donald Sterling, but they're at least smart enough to not get caught saying how they feel beyond calling the players "inmates"

That said, I'm confident that if any owner went full Sterling that they'd force a sale...
