Haha that was interesting to read. I wear both myself so I wasn't offended but i have realized recently that younger generations doing certain are starting to get on my nerves! Is it starting?

No, all of us did something in our youth to an extent to get back at as they say nowadays to get back at "The Man." or "The Woman." And that is why I enjoy working with the youth as sports is such a great equalizer. Although I must admit once I get past the major sports my knowledge is not extensive when it comes to things like the X games for example.

I think we were the only fanbase that didnt buy into the niners hype . Even with Jimmy G they lack talent all over the field .

Our offense should be able to March up and down the field against their defense , our defense needs to make plays and blow this team out!

I dunno... don't mean to be a debbie downer, but this game scares me a little. The Whiners have been scrappy against some decent teams this year.
There are very rarely easy road division games. I agree this could end up being a very tough game. Even back when the roles were reversed and we were bad they struggled with us.

I've only watched their MNF game vs GB this year. But Beathard looked pretty good. Maybe better than Grabmypole. I think it will be a closer game than I want it to be. And if that's the case, it's hard to beat both the opponent and the refs every game.

TNF Rams won 41-39 after a second half meltdown. Gave up 3 TD's in 4th qtr

Yep.
Self inflicted wounds.

I'm actually more concerned with THIS game than next week at home vs the packers.
1) 3rd straight road game is tough on any team, especially vs a division rival.
2) the 9ers offense looked more creative than that of the packers on Monday. It gave us trouble last year in the 1rst matchup; and our defense has not exactly been stellar.
3) the 9ers defense is much better than the packers.
4) the 9ers really need this game. As remote as it is, the only way the 9ers make this division a race is with a win on Sunday.
5) this will be an emotional day for the 9ers--Dwight Clark day.

The packers only won on Monday because their offense received several chances in the end. The 9ers couldn't put them away with a couple of 1rst downs.

Having said all that, I want a complete and demoralizing sweep of the 9ers.

Excellent point. I forgot to mention that one. We beat them without scoring an offensive TD in 2012 and we blew it several times to end in a tie at candlestick that same year. They went to the playoffs and we stayed home. Could have easily swept them that year.

Does anybody think either the Rams or seahawks have been taking each other lightly over the last 7-8 seasons, despite the swing in fortunes?
This is not a slam dunk.

... but I want it to turn out that way!

It'll be another touch matchup on the road for the third week in a row. They have some talent spread throughout. Buckner is a beast that'll need controlled. Sherman is still good enough. Goodwin has speed that can kill if you're not careful (or don't have safety help). They have a mishmash of decent RBs that get the yards. Beathard was a decently talented QB coming out of the draft and the Whiners used a 3rd on him. He isn't an awful backup and can sling it well enough. He does have 7 turnovers in 3 games though.

Overall, Whiners fans are way too confident. But the Rams can't sleep on them either and I don't think McVay would ever let them sleep on anyone. So I expect a good win.

Ram D all have to continue to be improved against the run (the Whiners are good in the run game) and tighten up the passing D...This new guy looks every bit as good at this point as G-string was but he does seem to be able to throw it to the wrong uniforms at times. I really think the Rams will need their A game Sunday...Speaking of Sunday, I finally get the Rams at 1:25...CBS has a triple header here and Fox has only one game...Kind of weird...I'm still not used to it no longer being straight Fox-NFC and CBS-AFC...

freak you jeff fisher you fuckwit. i don't care about all the stories, this one move showed goff was not fisher's decision. this was a move designed to embarrass jared and let the fo know how he felt about their trade up for goff. this is when the bust talk really started to gain heat and fisher knew how the media would react to it. bush league move on the team's #1 prized pick.

.

That's not how it happened.

Fisher sat him because he's beyond an old school coach who didn't trust rookies and has always felt that a good coach "breaks in" rookies.

I mean, he had the QB coach questioning if Goff even wanted to be a pro, ffs!

That's how they did it in the old days to weed out the weaker guys who couldn't be counted on.

Today's NFL is less military-esque and more professional in that you don't need all that crap (and I'm former Navy, so I'm absolutely not disrespecting the military training methods). The NFL has transitioned in large part to a professional entertainment endeavor where players are given expectations and the carrot rules far more than the stick with the consequence being if you can't do the job or won't do it, you aren't going to even get the opportunity at the carrot.

In the olden days, there was far more stick and the carrot was a whole lot smaller.

But Goff was absolutely Fisher's choice.

I won't tell the story...again...of how it happened, but he was ABSOLUTELY Fisher's only choice.
