It’s true tho.

If they called holding straight up, the sack numbers would go way, way up as well as the penalty yards.

It would shift more money to the OL and the best big men would gravitate more to OL.

I’d rather they just enforce the rules as they are written. Otherwise we get NBA refereeing and that’s untenable.

I mean AD was mad double held last night. Their OL is one of the best, but even with rust, NO WAY IN HELL do they legit shut down both AD and Suh.
I agree. There could conceivably be a penalty on every play. I just think it's funny that win or lose every fan base thinks that their team is being screwed by the refs.

That defense is awesome.
Rams SB champs easy if Gurley stays healthy.

That 2nd int looked like Carr was trying to just throw it away, but didnt put enough effort behind it. He made a lot of throw aways without even giving his WRs a chance or trying to scramble and make something happen. Dont know if it was Gruden harping on him to not take sacks or maybe the injuries have taken away his confidence.

Going off memory here admittedly, but the Rams' defense did a great job of taking things away and letting that pressure wear him down. Truth is any QB can have a bad game vs a top defense, and if the Rams' defense is a top unit then that type of performance is going to be par for the course for opposing QBs for the most part.

I'm not convinced that Carr is damaged goods. He's in a new offense with a new voice in his ear facing a top defense. Or so I think right now. Let's wait and see how he does over the next few games, he's got the Broncos who are solid up next but then the Dolphins and Browns and I suspect he's going to rebound with that offense growing game to game.

Off all week and was able to get some extra sleep today, but promised the Mrs., I would do the marketing and in the market, with my Ram gear attached to my hip I see a young lad donning Raider paraphernalia....He looks at me and I nod and he says "I got nothing." and my response was: "You certainly don't." I did add, "Best of luck the rest of the way." As one has to keep up appearances....Been a great couple of days.

The overreactions are hilarious, but the rai-duh fans need to take some comfort in 2 things...

1) Gruden can still make pirate faces when he knows a camera is pointed at him.

2) They have the only QB in the pros and college who proudly wears eyeliner at all times.

I'm hearing that the 'Nation' is taking collections to buy Gruden a membership in the 'Jeff Fisher Elderly Coaches Club'.

Good post and i agree. I'd even take it a step further and say that the Raiders probably could have beaten about 25 other NFL teams last night. Their players were ready to play, the gameplan was solid and they executed for the most part thru 2 quarters. The crowd was fired up, they were winning against a better more talented opponent.

While Carr did have a bit of a mental collapse a couple times, this narrative i'm hearing today of the Raiders choking or imploding in the 2nd half is just not true. The Rams simply just woke the fuck up mentally, made the football adjustments and put it to them. IMO that's no reason for Raider Nation to be on suicide alert. The Rams are just unstoppable when playing well. We can steamroll teams on both sides of the ball now.

The K.Mack thing? Sure. BIG mistake, but i think they can win 8-9 games if Gruden can keep the locker room together and get a few wins in the next 6 weeks or so.

1-0 Feels pretty good. I live around a lot of Raider fans in Southern Oregon. It’s like a funeral just happened here. Lol.

I live in Southern Oregon but I don't really know any Raiduh fans, just stickers on vehicles, so they're no problem for me...

That wasn't an insult. Calling that a $3 haircut is a compliment.

He's well componsated for the haircut being the spokesman for Dutch Boy Paints.

Derek Carr is in trouble, played scared last night, if anybody got close, he threw the ball away and never took a shot downfield. Carr has flat tires and I'm betting with one of those two first round picks the Raiders take a QB next year as Gruden has to realize Carr is not the player he was two years ago IMHO.

I just finished re-watching the game.

He certainly was scared. There were multiple plays I re-watched and would count out his time to throw.

Insane pocket rush from our Dline - and that's against a dynamic trio. Plus more because Westbrooks was a guy I saw in there a bit.

Gruden didn't do a good job of trying to move the pocket, or set up his passer to have an opportunity to throw.

I am excited about this defense though because once they kind of checked in there was nothing from the Raiders until their very last possession.
